Xi’s military purges are less about China’s strategic goals, more about party control

TCC

Well-known

His fall, alongside Liu Zhenli, Chief of Staff of the Central Military Commission (CMC) Joint Staff Department, marks a continuation of Xi’s sweeping campaign to purge corruption and enforce absolute Party loyalty in the military. Nearly 30 generals of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) have been dismissed in recent years, including 11 investigated last year alone, underscoring that no officer, however senior, is immune. Official reports cite “serious violations of discipline and law,” though details remain scarce, highlighting both the crackdown’s opacity and its uncompromising nature.

The Epoch Times had better coverage of this but i am not subscribed. If anyone has part of the Epoch related article, please post. I realize when we are dealing with military levels in a communist state it is difficult to get real facts. But it does make me wonder (since China seemed to be the favored nation to run globalism) if China, like the USA, has a deep state too. Hard to process how that might work under communism. But surely something was going on regarding China being the WEF apple of their eye. To sort of speak. Blessings.

Last spring there was a lot of activity surrounding Xi and his closest people, looked like a coup, but Xi survived, not surprised if he is cleaning house.
