Woke 'Bishop' Accidentally Reveals Her True Motive for Scolding Trump During Her Appearance on 'The View'

Episcopal Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde, while appearing on “The View,” betrayed the true motivation behind the scolding that she gave to President Donald Trump on Tuesday while he attended a “unity” service at the National Cathedral in Washington.

The Episcopal Diocese of Washington describes Budde as “an advocate and organizer in support of justice concerns, including racial equity, gun violence prevention, immigration reform, the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ persons, and the care of creation.”

So her stands on most issues are likely the exact opposite of Trump’s. In a word, she’s woke, and she wanted to lecture the president on why he should be too.

These are excerpts, the full remarks of Bishop Budde are here: Bishop Mariann’s blog

To say that resurrection is essential doesn’t mean that if someone were to discover a tomb with Jesus’ remains in it that the entire enterprise would come crashing down. The truth is that we don’t know what happened to Jesus after his death, anymore than we can know what will happen to us ...

I'm not convinced the Bishop is even a legitimate believer.

Sounds like she's been reading the book, cloud of unknowing, promoted by 3 RCC monks and as a reason to instead engage in mindless, contemplative prayer of repeating a word over and over until in a trance.

This book in essence says we can't possibly know God, so why even try.

“But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord.
“You are my servant.
You have been chosen to know me, believe in me,
and understand that I alone am God.
There is no other God—
there never has been, and there never will be.

Isaiah 43:10

But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!

Jeremiah 9:24

“My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:27-28

God's Word directly tells us what happened to Christ and that he was resurrected by the power of God the Father

But God knew what would happen, and his prearranged plan was carried out when Jesus was betrayed. With the help of lawless Gentiles, you nailed him to a cross and killed him. But God released him from the horrors of death and raised him back to life, for death could not keep him in its grip.

Acts 2:23-24

After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him. As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!”

Acts 1:9-11

I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. He was seen by Peter and then by the Twelve. After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. Then he was seen by James and later by all the apostles. Last of all, as though I had been born at the wrong time, I also saw him. For I am the least of all the apostles. In fact, I’m not even worthy to be called an apostle after the way I persecuted God’s church.

1 Corinthians 15:3-9

We can certainly know what happened to Jesus after his buried!

As a historical document, the Bible meets criteria needed to prove it's accuracy abundently.

The written letters and documentation incredibly close to the original event of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus is undeniably strong evidence to the truth of their testimony.

500 witnesses of Paul's day would definitely disprove the lie that Jesus wasn't resurrected. They were close enough to the event to be reliable in their witness.

Just as some of our parents, still alive today and news clippings, along with copious ammounts of books/movies could affirm that JFK was indeed assassinated.

I write this, not to throw pearls before the swine, but to show truth to those who'd be confused by lies.

Not to pile on against this woman, but just to affirm that what she proclaims is not scriptural. If you read her blog she clearly does not know the Lord God. She has seized intellectually on some principles in scripture that resonate with her: a perfect example of eisegesis-- reading into scripture your own ideas. But she does not know God. She is an example of the wolves that have entered the church. With sweet talk and personal passion she leads those astray who don't know any better and trust in her supposed learning and her position.

This is why people need to read and study The :bible:to discern if what the person is actually scriptural.

Exactly.

This morning I was thinking of her as the Holy Spirit was helping me to discern what bothered me most.

Many of us have been fooled by people who want to get something out of us. I’ve been taken in by people who act super needy, or super nice, super pious, or super charming.

This “bishop” goes beyond that. She calmly and softly places herself in spiritual authority over President Trump. She is unafraid of using God’s name and authority in a corrupt manner.

She’s auditioning for the mystery whore of Babylon. I used to picture an ordinary whore on a beast, but now I’m less naive and can see this woman on that beast.
