Who is Third Act?

I came across this while looking through the news about protestors in Asheville, NC who are against deporting illegal aliens. Those who were protesting were elderly white people, not one “person of color” was involved.

Their home page says, “Third Act, we are a dedicated group of organizers, campaign strategists, and communications professionals working together to build a powerful elder-led movement for climate action and democracy protection. Our team operates across multiple departments, each playing a crucial role in advancing our mission.”

Bill McKibben, Author, Educator, Activist, founder of Third Act. “Bill is a contributing writer to The New Yorker, “blah, blah, blah, and a founder of Third Act, which organizes people over the age of 60 to work on climate and racial justice. He founded the first global grassroots climate campaign, 350.org, and serves as the Schumann Distinguished Professor in Residence at Middlebury College in Vermont.”

In other words; a bunch of communists... . They can say whatever they want, but overthrow of the current system and an implementation of whatever their current utopia system may be is the only goal. Climate, racial issues, immigration, all are just fronts for a power grab. Many are just useful idiots bought into the hype, probably reliving their college days of the 60's, thinking they are doing something noble, but really just trying to "stick it to the establishment". But the true leaders are communists, thinking this time their version will result in prosperity for all, not realizing basic human nature is inherently evil without Christ. In addition, people will not sit back and watch their hard earned assets are given to abled bodied people who refuse to contribute. It's not going to ever happen and this is the fatal flaw with marxists philosophy.

Given these elderly protesters, Bible verses such as Job 12:12, would appear to be wrong. But that's not true: the Bible is never wrong. What we can learn from what we are seeing is that cherry picking Bible verses is wrong. Verses must be compared with verses and light shone from the entirety of God's Word.

What the Bible actually teaches about the wisdom of the elderly is not that wisdom comes with silver hair but that wisdom comes from God. Therefore, the mere attainment of age does not produce wisdom. But the attainment of age while walking in companionship with God does.

The sad thing is that nearly all of these older people who are populating these protests are humanists and atheists. They have lived their lives in the pride of their own thinking and are presuming that this has produced wisdom. Not so, peanut butter breath. Only those who have humbled themselves under God's hand are possessors of any form of true wisdom; and you will not see them out marching under the battle flags of the radical left.
