so it would be logical that fallen angels would escort unbelievers to torment side of Hades/Hell.

It appears then that those living in Christ will have an escort.

I don't see the logic though in demons escorting unbelievers. I must be missing something.

Maybe distracting people so they don't turn back or call on Jesus before they get to Hades/Hell?
Or maybe just more meanness and hate.

It seems that everything God does and has done out His goodness, mercy, and love, satan counterfeits out of hate and defiance for evil.

I don't believe the Word supports salvation after death.

I don't think I've ever read where fallen angels have any authority over the dead so if there is an escort to Hades I'd think it would be angels that aren't fallen. Thinking out loud...

I'm wondering since near-death, maybe the person has started the journey, but isn't actually dead, yet.
Perhaps in His mercy, God is allowing the person to see what awaits if he or she doesn't get saved before death.

Either way, with something as important as eternal destination, I wouldn't delay on accepting Jesus as Lord (God) and Savior.
