Psalm 30 vs 5
5: For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Son and dil came over today. It's the day 2 years ago we found out George was actually dying, we didn't realize then how fast. Valentine's Day.
3 weeks later on Mar 7 he was gone. On our oldest granddaughter's birthday.
Good to have the kids with me. It helps.
And it hasn't destroyed those days or their celebration, those markers actually bring perspective. God's grace.
He's been with the Lord almost 2 years now, free of all suffering and in the presence of the Lord.
Down here I can give thanks for the time we had here together, and for the family God blessed us with.
It's good to celebrate and cherish the time have, and remember and give thanks for the joys we've been given. Because God's love endures forever. Weeping endures for a night, but joy comes in the morning. And that joy comes from the Lord, and it endures forever.
I think that verse says it all. We endure sorrow for a season down here, and then at the Rapture, or our death, whichever comes first -- we wake to joy in the presence of the Lord forever, and that joy never ceases. The season of sorrow is like a bad night, morning comes, and the nightmare is forgotten. It's momentary, but God's gift of Joy is eternal, in His presence.
