Still working on my series on Esther for SS. I have always thought of Esther as a 'type' of Christ, that is, she portrays elements of Christ in her actions, not all certainly but some. Same is true of many other O.T. people. My issue is that I read about 'types' in GotQuestions and they make a distinction between 'types' and 'illustrations', so now I'm wondering if Esther is an actual type or more of an illustration of Christ. And I can't understand the difference. Anyone have any thoughts?
