Utah’s Red State Islamization Accelerates: LDS Church Funds Mega-Mosque Conquest of Conservative Heartland (Video)

Just days ago, Salt Lake City Democrat Mayor Erin Mendenhall donned a full blue hijab and hosted an official Ramadan Iftar at City Hall. The historic building was transformed into a prayer space complete with the live Adhan (Islamic call to prayer) echoing under the “OFFICE OF THE MAYOR” arch, qibla direction signs pointing toward Mecca, and official program cards bearing the city seal.

Republican Governor Spencer Cox went even further. In 2024, he opened the official Governor’s Mansion for Utah’s first-ever Iftar during Ramadan. Prayer mats were rolled out, the residence was converted into a mini-mosque, and Cox publicly declared “Grateful… Ramadan Kareem” while renewing proclamations for “Muslim American Heritage Month” that praise Islam’s supposed “contributions” and decry “anti-Muslim hate.”

But it doesn’t stop there. In a tour and interview inside Utah’s largest and newest mega-mosque – the Utah Islamic Center, a 14,356-square-foot facility completed in June 2020 at a cost of $3,365,833.36 – Imam Shuaib Din openly boasted about the rapid Islamization underway.

Most shocking of all: The LDS Church donated $25,000 to build this purpose-built mega-mosque – the same policy they apply to Hindu temples and older mosques. Imam Din praised LDS “higher-ups” for encouraging interfaith friendship and missionary outreach… even as conversions surge among locals, including from LDS backgrounds.
