US plans to start 2nd phase of Gaza deal before Hamas disarmed

🚨 Board of ‘Peace’

Report: British Prime Minister will accept a seat on the Trump Council for the Administration of Gaza
British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer is expected to join the group that US President Donald Trump plans to arrange the situation in the Gaza Strip.
Trump will head the Gaza Peace Council, which will temporarily manage the Strip and make decisions about its reconstruction, according to the British Times newspaper. The council, which includes world leaders, will discuss ways to disarm Hamas, form a technocratic government, and attract investment.
Trump may reveal the names of the members of the council this week. The Sunday Times revealed last weekend that the US president had invited Starmer to join.

Report: Italy on the board for Gaza, debut in Davos where Meloni will see Trump again

---

The White House is advancing plans to grant a broad mandate to a proposed Board of Peace that would administer the Gaza Strip and eventually take on other global conflicts, according to three sources who spoke with Haaretz.

⚠️ ➡️ One source said senior U.S. officials promoting the initiative "see it as something very close to a new kind of UN, made up of selected countries that would make decisions affecting the world."

The United States is expected to announce the establishment of the Board of Peace and its composition by the end of the month, despite earlier plans to do so this week.
The delay, according to the sources, is partly due to the ongoing drafting of the board's charter, which is meant to define its mandate. One source familiar with the details said the final draft circulated to prospective member states is expected to include an expanded mandate for the Board of Peace.

Well that is a significant little step forward.

Tarshish is involved -at the request of one of her cubs. Ezek 38.

Palestinian technocrats invited to join transitional Gaza governing committee — sources.

Roughly a dozen Palestinians received official invitations on Tuesday to serve on the technocratic committee slated to manage Gaza’s daily affairs in place of Hamas, an Arab diplomat and a Palestinian official told The Times of Israel. The letters were signed by the Board of Peace’s designated high representative, Nikolay Mladenov, two of the technocrats who received the letters said. A Bulgarian diplomat, Mladenov previously served as the UN special envoy to the Middle East and will be tasked with directly overseeing the technocratic committee on behalf of the Board of Peace. He held meetings last week with senior officials in Israel and the Palestinian Authority in preparation for the transition to phase two of US President Donald Trump’s peace plan for the Gaza Strip.

Phase two is supposed to see the disarmament of Hamas, the completion of Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza, the reconstruction of the Strip and the establishment of the various transitional bodies tasked with running the enclave before it is handed off to a reformed PA. One of those bodies is the Board of Peace, a panel of world leaders headed by Trump that will oversee the Palestinian technocratic committee, formally called the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCACG).
Washington still aims to hold the first meeting of the Board of Peace on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, next week, the Arab diplomat said on Tuesday. With the invitations sent out to the members of the Palestinian technocratic committee, the public unveiling of the panel could come as soon as Wednesday in Cairo, where several Palestinian factions are already gathered for talks on phase two.

“Now, it’s President Trump’s turn to execute his plan, which we’re ready for and thrilled that it’s finally starting,” Abu Ramadan said before stressing that the “proper environment is needed for reconstruction and recovery” to move ahead. An Arab diplomat said that the US is working to coax Israel to agree to a series of steps that will give an initial boost the technocratic committee’s legitimacy, including the reopening of the Rafah Border Crossing. It was not clear whether this framework will be sufficient for Israel. Hamas officials have publicly asserted that the organization will only agree to give up its weapons in a negotiated process that results in the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Four Palestinian sources tell Reuters that US President Donald Trump is indeed expected to push ahead with his phased plan for Gaza’s future by announcing the administration that will run the war-ravaged Palestinian territory, as previously reported. Israel and Hamas in October signed off on Trump’s 20-point plan which says that a technocratic Palestinian body overseen by an international “Board of Peace” is meant to govern Gaza for a transitional period. It is not to include Hamas representation.

(Tier3?) The 14-member Palestinian body will be headed by Ali Shaath, a former deputy minister in the Western-backed Palestinian Authority who had been in charge of developing industrial zones, the Palestinian sources say.

(Tier2?) Other members tapped by Nickolay Mladenov, the former UN Middle East envoy who is expected to represent the Board of Peace on the ground, include people from the private sector and NGOS, according a list of the names obtained by Reuters.

What to pay attention to today is the organizational chart, chain of command, that’s structured for the BoP.

Early estimate from previous reports

Tier 1- is the Chair & other heads of state/world leaders
Tier 2- executive level that answers to tier 1
Mladenov, Kushner, Witkoff, World Bank etc, possible candidates that are identified as members on the ground. Differentiate it from the heads of state level.
Tier 3- the technocratic palestinian government that is accountable to tier 2, 14 members have been named so far.
Tier 1- is the level that is being said will continue to be a new body overseeing world conflicts. 🚩

Trump’s 20-point plan which says that a technocratic Palestinian body overseen by an international “Board of Peace” is meant to govern Gaza for a transitional period
Maybe the lack of detail about disarming Hamas is intentional? It’s as if the Trump Board of Peace is first focused on technological advancement to drag Gaza into the 21st century. That’s years away.

It reminds me of meetings I’ve been in where a developer has to win over a neighborhood that doesn’t want his proposed ‘improvements’. His best persuasion is often big posters that are artistic renderings of his completed project. People can more easily overlook the messy dusty disruptions at the beginning when they see how it’s supposed to end up.

I tend to think Israel will disarm Hamas.

Yes, it's interesting to see the individual pieces of the puzzle coming together. Take a look at the Iran thread to see how Dedan is now (pretending to) protest against the attack on Iran. They will do the same in the Gog-Magog war. Many assume that Saudi Arabia will be part of the Board of Peace.
Right now so much is changing, in flux that I'm reluctant to analyze, preferring to just watch. There are several areas I've watched for many years now, Gog Magog, the rise of the 10 kings stuff, Europe 2.0, Jeremiah 49, Ezek 32 and Ezek 38-39 along with Isaiah 17 and related scriptures.

Dedan's relationship with Iran is one that seems to be split over Israel as they are part of the Tarshish group in Ez 38. Sheba and Dedan appear to be in a coalition with Tarshish and her cubs so I've long expected this kind of cooperative effort to appear, not as friends of Israel as much as allied with Tarshish in some kind of economic endeavour due to that emphasis on questioning Gog/Magog (which includes Iran under her ancient name Persia) about financial motives of the invasion. That leaves a faint implication that Sheba and Dedan are involved with Israel in some economic way, along with Tarshish and co.

But looking at the way that most of Jer 49 and Ezek 32;17-32 are related, it seems something else is going on there. There is an emphasis on some conflict related to terrorism- very pointed, not economic. Elam is referenced here (part of Iran, including a little bit of eastern Iraq)

Which is why I separate those passages from Gog Magog. I've joked in the past that Ezek 32 comes BEFORE Ezek 38, but it does seem that things proceed slightly differently, under different motivations

I think Ez 32 comes first with Jer 49 (the references to Elam) which deals with a lot of what Bill Salus calls the Inner ring, - his Psalm 83 group, and deals with the terrorist motive. As Bill has suggested in his book on the Elam prophecies, this would not necessarily destroy Persia itself.

The last year (since the Trump election to be precise) has had everything going on fast forward to the point where the info changes so fast it's hard to keep up.

It's almost like someone took a hand on the half worked out puzzle board, sweeping the pieces into new configurations, still making sense of the prophecy picture but putting them together in slightly different ways than it seemed, and now the puzzle is being filled in much faster.

I'm reluctant to analyze, preferring to just watch.
That's a good attitude!

As for Salus, I read his interpretation years ago. And I am grateful that a few brothers have thoroughly refuted his chronological interpretation of various end-time wars. I came to the same conclusion as these brothers because I took the trouble to compile a list of Israel's enemies and the parallel passages, including the fairly clear time references. That is why I do not read any recent articles by people who place Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Zechariah 12, and Jeremiah 49 in the period before the Tribulation, because it simply takes up time that is very precious to me in my old age. Nevertheless, I appreciate the brothers who see it differently.

I may surprise you in that I don't agree with him fully where Psalm 83 is concerned - I think other passages might say better what he sees in Psalm 83 and as for the timelines of the events in the other passages I'm somewhat ambivalent because I think in probabilities, not black and white certainties.

For example with Isaiah 17 while I mostly see it as having a yet future application I don't discount Dr Woods and others who see it as fulfilled only in the past.

I remain open to the idea that it might be fulfilled in the past, while mostly seeing it as probable future.

I see everything like a jigsaw puzzle- the borders are filled in but the interior remains a puzzle as I try to put different aspects together in a small group, then see if they fit in the larger whole. While a piece may look like it belongs in one place, it may fit better elsewhere.

This is why I'm reluctant to assign recent events into that framework, it feels too much like forcing the pieces into place before seeing how they might fit across the board.

Ezek 32 for example compared to Ezek 38:

Probability ranking in my head
Prior to Ezek 38 but not necessarily. The logic points to terrorism (that motive of Ezek 32 that Bill points out and is obvious there in the passage, repeated over and over) that terrorism is dealt with before the events of Ezek 38 when the motive of Iran becomes something more like theft.

After Ezek 38 could also be possible if we consider some financial motive intervening, then Iran moving back to their terrorist roots. That is less likely due to the way things are progressing in the global financial realm but possible.

It's a puzzle, it's very enjoyable to look at all the possibilities. New information arrives all the time, making it necessary to reshift the pieces on the board and examine new openings that just showed up.

I sometimes worry if all our focus and cogitation might distract us from our primary task: going into all the world and making DISCIPLES, followers of Jesus Christ. This requires personal application, passionate attitude, and purposeful action.

Yes, we are to be looking for the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, but when the angels said to the disciples "Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven” they were not merely assuring them of Christ's return, they were spurring them to something else. And the disciples immediately returned to Jerusalem and prepared themselves for a something they did not know, and did so by seeking God in prayer. 40 days later they received their power and their purpose, and thus the Church began.

Certainly God gave us end-times scripture so that we would not be taken unaware as things occurred. He wanted us to have confidence and hope despite what circumstances may swirl around us in this world. But let's not be so focused on eschatology that we neglect our primary purpose: the gospel. Not just believing it, not just proclaiming it, but living it in our every day, every moment lives so that our words are supported by the witness of the way we live our lives.

Let us allow eschatology to spur us to more fervent dedication to our primary purpose on this earth as we see the Day drawing closer.

The 20 point peace plan leads to a palestinian state aiming for Jerusalem, so dividing the land of Israel for false peace and security is winning?
