Pressure from Israeli politicians appears to have succeeded in pushing the US to step back from issuing sanctions.

The US is unlikely to impose sanctions on the Netzah Yehuda Battalion, at least not in the meantime, Ynet reported Wednesday afternoon, citing Israeli officials.

However, Reuters foreign policy reporter Humeyra Pamuk reported on Wednesday afternoon that the sanctions are still set to be issued in the coming days, citing official sources.

Appeasing the USA appears to be a waste of time for Israel. The whole world is against her. When Israel acquiesce to the US on a matter, the US just adds more demands. I do hope Israel is learning from this horrible experience it is living through.
