Under Reported News

Well-known
Hi all, I'm surprised by how few international stories garner US headlines and I'm hoping that we can develop a list.

Here's one:

Spain: Protests against government amnesty deal likely to continue nationwide through at least mid-December /update 2

Why Europe’s farmers are protesting – and the far right is taking note

"The columns of tractors that have blocked roads in Germany, causing chaos in cities and headaches for commuters, are the latest wave in a growing tide of anger against efforts to protect Europe’s nature from the pollution pumped out by its farms."

Yes, I agree with you about under-reported news.

There is a youtube channel by a man from London called Mahyar Tousi, he was born in Iran but his parents came to England. He is wary of Islam and highlights some items than the mainstream news ignore. For example he does livestreams reporting some of the goings on at the Pro-Palestine Anti-Israel protests in London. Some of the things he highlights are very concerning but ignored by the media outlets. Were it not for small youtube channels much of what happens in my own country I would be unaware of.

God Bless You :)

More on current farmers protesting in Europe:

"Thousands of farmers across Europe have taken to the streets in recent weeks, claiming they are being disproportionately affected by the EU’s efforts to slash greenhouse gas emissions, and demanding more financial support from their governments.

“They’re not in [the EU], they’re exporting to us tax-free … they’ve taken markets away from us, and they’re not producing with the same rules as we are!” Laqueue said.

In Poland and Romania, farmers and truckers have blockaded roads in protest against Brussels’ decision to suspend import duties on Ukrainian goods following Moscow’s full-scale invasion, which they see as unfair competition.

Demonstrations have also sprung up in Germany against a government proposal to remove tax privileges, while French farmers have been protesting against taxes on tractor fuel and overregulation."

Spain: Opposing activists stage demonstrations in central Madrid late Jan. 18

Police deploy to scene of opposing protests at Teatro de La Abadia in Madrid, Spain, late Jan. 18; lingering traffic disruptions likely.

Iran and Pakistan rebuilding diplomatic ties following tit-for-tat strikes

Islamabad and Tehran’s detente should help soothe some concerns of regional escalation from the war in Gaza.
The two Islamic republics will return recalled ambassadors on January 26, they said in a joint statement issued on Monday, with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian to visit his counterpart three days later. The announcement signals efforts to rebuild ties following the tit-for-tat missile attacks on one another’s border regions last week that saw relations nosedive and tensions spike.

More on current farmers protesting in Europe:
Remember when there was an uprising of the farmers in the Netherlands?
In it's wake, a political party was formed: the BBB, "Boeren en Burger Belangen" (Farmers and Citizen Interests)
The party got a tremendous amount of votes, with their front-woman promising to halt the forced buyout of the farmers.

But as soon as she was part of the government, the promises were forgotten.
She showed herself to be a Klaus Schwab-disciple and she "of course had to comply to the EU regulations".

Then we knew why her party was named BBB!

@Kaatje

What's the latest news on Geert Wilders?
He is still not able to form a government.
Our system works as follows:
We have a multi parties system, and they all get their share of the votes.
Geert Wilder's party got the most votes, which equates to 37 seats in parliament.
But there are 150 seats, so to have a majority, parties need to form alliances with other parties.
And here is the trouble. Other parties are not enthusiastic to join Wilders.
Not unless Wilder compromises on his promises to the people.
He is in a bind, to say the least.
If Wilders doesn't succeed to form enough alliances, the next biggest party gets a chance to form a governement.
And I think it will ultimately come to that, and then it will be same old, same old...

On a personal note: I didn't vote for Wilders, because he is a full blown atheist.
I voted for the one (very small) party that hasn't compromised on it's Biblical beliefs: the SGP.

Reminds me of Douglas Murray, 2 days ago on Piers Morgan uncensored he was arguing with one of the PA leaders and Douglas presented a copy of the Pa budget itemising payments to terorrists and their families.

The PA bloke was constantly trying to disrupt and yell over Douglas as Douglas eas exposing them for who they are.

I'm a big fan of this young woman warrior: Eva Vlaardingerbroek

Dr. Jordan B. Peterson speaks with German farmer Anthony Lee and journalist Eva Vlaardingerbroek. They discuss the ongoing farmers' protest, the war on efficient agriculture, what is now being panned as the failed German state, the ludicrous net-zero goals creating excess electric vehicles while cutting off the generation of power, and how a grassroots movement can make genuine change at the local and national levels.Eva Vlaardingerbroek is a Dutch journalist and previous YouTube host of the “Let’s Talk About It” program on the channel Riks. Vlaardingerbroek has published opinion articles in newspapers such as the Dutch weekly Elsevier Weekblad and appeared on programs like Tucker Carlson's show on Fox News. She advocates for a cultural return to faith and a rejection of the WEF manifested, globalist ideology.Anthony Lee is a German farmer who has become outspoken in recent months as he followed news of farmers struggling all across Europe. Now affecting his home country, the time has come to take a stand, and not just for German farmers and workers, but for everyone. This episode was recorded on January 15th, 2023
