Trump vows US action if Iranian regime cracks down on protests

The United States will intervene if Iran violently suppresses anti-government demonstrations, President Donald Trump warned on Friday.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote that if “Iran shoots and violently kills peaceful protesters,” Washington will “come to their rescue,” adding that the U.S. is “locked and loaded and ready to go.”

Ali Shamkhani, a senior adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, wrote on X that “every hand of intervention that approaches Iranian security under any pretext will be cut off with a regrettable response before it arrives.”

I'm never for the USA acting as the world's policeman, with one exception: helping Israel as needed.
Agree! Trump needs to back off with the threats against other nations, especially ones we have no relationships. He come off as arrogant and a bully which is why so many women can't stand the sight of him. You can be a strong leader without the swagger. Think Teddy Roosevelt, "speak softly and carry a big stick".

Praying for God’s will. Specifically to provide the Iranian people ease from their oppression and doors to open for the Gospel to get in the hands of the people
The Gospel does reach the Iranian people.
The current regime persecutes the church there.

This article below is on how Christianity is thriving and growing in Iran in spite of persecution

That surprised me how President Trump changed his stance this term from how it was for his first term.
When he ran in 2016 he was very firm about getting us out of foreign wars, or "forever wars" as he called it, and he also opposed what he termed as "regime change".
I do believe we should watch Israel's back as our ally, but most of all on a biblical standpoint.
If the US can have a pact with NATO allies, there is no reason not to have a pact with Israel as our ally. I dont think Trump making this vow for military action against Iran is about Israel specifically.
I think he is looking at regime change because he thinks it will help make his middle east peace plan move forward more smoothly.
The bible tells us where everything is going prophetically and there isnt anyone who can change God's time clock or written word on how things unfold.

Im all for a military response as long as it entails air strikes on nuke or missile sites, and NOT boots on the ground.
From the article quoting his post on Truth Social, military action for nuclear sites and missile sites are not mentioned.....

Trump specifically says:
US will intervene for protesters

From the OP article quoting Trump's Truth Social post:

"In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote that if “Iran shoots and violently kills peaceful protesters,” Washington will “come to their rescue,” adding that the U.S. is “locked and loaded and ready to go.”

Me no likey. So are we going to go and stick our nose into every country now that punishes its protesters? Because there are many of them. Around 90 Google says…or 75% of the world.

Why Iran? There must be a reason other than do-gooding.

Meanwhile, I continue to wait for someone to do something about Haiti. That place is a complete hellhole and there may be strategic implications for us if it continues. Haiti is 2 hours from Florida by air.

@Andy C

I just saw this article now which is well written and in unsaid words round two in striking Iran's nuclear sites and missile sites are a possibility......

‘We’re locked & loaded’: Trump warns apocalyptic Iranian regime not to murder swelling protest movement or U.S. will attack — is he planning 2nd air assault, possibly to include Iranian missile facilities, possibly with Israeli involvement?

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL — Barack Obama never did it.

Neither did Joe Biden.

But on Friday, in a shocking and unprecedented social media post, U.S. President Donald J. Trump came to the defense of the Iranian people and put the wicked regime in Tehran on notice.

Do not attack and kill any Iranian civilians who are out in the streets in force all across the Islamic Republic.

If you do, you will face the wrath of the American military.

True, the message was misspelled.

But it could hardly be misunderstood.

TRUMP GETS TOUGH WITH TEHRAN

Under Trump, no longer will the world’s greatest democracy and only superpower cast a blind eye toward the murder of innocent Iranians demanding freedom, justice, and a new government.

“If Iran [shoots] and violently kills peaceful protestors, which is their custom, the United States of America will come to their rescue,” the American commander-in-chief wrote on his digital platform, Truth Social.

“We are locked and loaded and ready to go,” Trump explained, adding, “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Wow — no American president has ever made such a threat.

Trump has insisted all year that he doesn’t plan to send U.S. ground forces into Iran.

He’s also insisted that he’s not planning to actively get involved in “regime change” in Iran.

But clearly, he’s losing patience with the Terror Masters of Tehran.

Good for him.

WE NEED TO STAND WITH — AND PRAY FOR — THE COURAGEOUS, OPPRESSED PEOPLE OF IRAN

As they have done in the past, hundreds of thousands of Iranians have turned out on the streets of cities all across Iran in recent days.

They’re courageously protesting against their corrupt, oppressive, and evil government.

They’re also openly calling for the fall of the regime and the return of the Persian monarchy, led by exiled Crown Prince of Iran Reza Pahlavi.

Good for them.

As Christians, we need to stand with — and pray for — the Iranian people.

TRUMP TAKING A VERY DIFFERENT TACK THAN OBAMA AND BIDEN

In the past, Presidents Obama and Biden ignored such massive popular uprisings.

Both also repeatedly ignored getting tough with one of the deadliest regimes on the planet, the leading state sponsor of terrorism against the United States, against Israel, against our Sunni Arab allies, and against Judeo-Christian civilization.

Worse, both Obama and Biden worked to appease Tehran, cutting an insane agreement with them that didn’t end Iran’s path to nuclear weapons but paved it.

Yet Trump has had enough of the cruelty and cowardice of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the rest of the Iranian leadership.

In his first term, Trump:

  • Ripped up the Obama-Biden nuclear deal
  • Imposed on Iran a “maximum pressure” campaign of economic sanctions
  • Assassinated Iran’s top terrorist, Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC)
  • Strengthened the U.S. alliance with Israel
  • Strengthened the U.S. alliance with our Sunni Arab allies in the region
  • Brokered the Abraham Accords to build an American-Israeli-Arab alliance against Iran
  • Publicly supported the Iranian people in their quest for freedom
Tragically, Biden undid or weakened most of these moves.

IN SECOND TERM, TRUMP IS GETTING EVEN TOUGHER WITH TEHRAN

Now back in power, Trump has gotten tough with Tehran all over again.

Specifically, Trump has:

  • Reimposed his “maximum pressure” campaign of sanctions on Iran
  • Given Tehran 60 days to negotiate a new, serious, and verifiable nuclear deal or face military attacks
  • Given Israel the “green light” to launch a 12-day military assault to neutralize Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile threat and kill Iran’s top military leaders and nuclear scientists, but not directly attack the Supreme Leader or the regime itself

  • Ordered B-2 bombers into battle, dropping massive 30,000-pound “bunker buster” bombs on three especially dangerous and heavily fortified nuclear sites, obliterating the Iranian nuclear threat
Now, Trump has just spent a week with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Examining U.S. and Israeli intelligence, he can see that Tehran is trying to rebuild and reconstitute its nuclear weapons program.

Even more clearly and more worrisome, Trump can see that Tehran is feverishly trying to rebuild and reconstitute its ballistic missile force.

ARE THE U.S. AND ISRAEL ABOUT TO ATTACK IRAN FOR A SECOND TIME?

Trump understands the threat.

Tehran wants to someday soon be able to launch thousands — perhaps tens of thousands — of ballistic missiles at America’s allies in the region, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.

Trump made it clear to Netanyahu that he won’t let this happen.

The president publicly signaled he is open to giving Netanyahu the “green light,” as it were, for Israel to launch another massive air attack against Iran.

Trump also hinted that he might order American B-2 bombers back into action, though he said he’d prefer not to have to expend so much of the expensive fuel the B-2s use.

Could we now be seeing Trump publicly setting the stage for more American and Israeli attacks to not only neutralize the Iranian missile threat but also to defend innocent Iranian civilians?

I believe the answer is yes.

TRUMP DOESN’T WANT WAR — BUT HE UNDERSTANDS TEHRAN IS A MURDEROUS, APOCALYPTIC, REVOLUTIONARY REGIME THAT WANTS TO ANNIHILATE THE U.S. AND ISRAEL

Trump doesn’t want war.

But he is under no illusions.

He understands that Tehran does want war.

Every single day, Iranian leaders and religious clerics shout, “Death to Israel! Death to America!”

Why?

Because the apocalyptic regime in Tehran believes that Israel is the “Little Satan,” the United States is the “Great Satan,” and that annihilating both will usher in the End of Days and the arrival of the Mahdi — also known as the Twelfth Imam — the Muslim savior who will kill all Jews and Christians, force all survivors to convert to Islam, and rule the world.

President Trump is never going to let this happen.

What’s more, Trump knows that the more the Iranian regime and military capacities are neutralized or severely degraded, the better the chance to establish true peace and security in the Middle East.

Let’s be praying for the president.

And for the people of Iran.

Something dramatic is developing.

I’m bullish about the future of this region, especially in the near term.

But I believe the only path to a New Middle East is for Christians to be praying without ceasing, just as the Holy Scriptures command.

And China, and North Korea. Christian persecution is amplifying around the world

No, just Iran. It creates a good excuse for military action, and taking out some of their “secret” sites will get their attention.

After a decade of watching Trump rather closely, I don't believe he is interested in regime change nor new wars. There are different ways of looking at international regime influence that I believe has a bit more to do with global crime syndication. Looking back for example on North Korea and how Kim did not trust the US or Trump initially because the CIA was messing with him from what i understand. And wanting to put a leash on Kim. From that perspective, the US was not trust worthy. But getting to know Trump changed Kim's stance virtually overnight...lol.

I believe Obama gave Iran all those pallets of cash party to likely pay off blackmail but also i believe because like the USA has a deep state, so do many other countries. So in one way we are dealing with international countries. But in another way we are dealing with deep state control over national regimes. If these observations are even mildly accurate, countries like North Korea and Iran are potentially prime targets for deep state activity. Because they can be used like a weapon on the global front. To me, it would make sense for Trump to use force. Because I believe in his mind (not that I'm a mind reader...lol...its just that watching him over the years informs a lot to a degree in how he uses international expression as optics), Iran's deep state portion of global crime syndicate will likely desperately try to start WW3. With nukes perhaps at their disposal.

This may likely sound pretty wild, lol, but what this might be concerning Trumpian threats too (although I believe Andy better nailed it) is similar to Trump's strategy to deploy the national guard throughout the country leading up to potential midterm mayhem. The US deep state has already proven to start Palestine/Hamas favored protests aggressively throughout the country at college campuses regarding Gaza. Deep state loss of American superpower won't occur without huge pushback. And Iran (just as it proxied terror through Hamas in Gaza) is likely the number one weapon for deep state to use to challenge midterms since they can't cheat as openly as they have been able to. Leaving Iran too much intact is too high risk if the FED cash cow is not in globalist control. Or if they fall pray to losing house/senates seats to curb Trump. In my understanding, Perhaps it could be said to be somewhat certain that if the midterms do not favor dem pushback, Iran would be a most likely tool in deep state hands. In a situation like what we have with Iran, it is a good thing I believe Trump in socio-politically somewhat uncertain to predict.

. . . . .

@1LoverofGod thank you dear sister for your articles and also your highlighting how bountifully the gospel is received in Iran. It reminds me of a video I saw called Sheep Among Wolves. A documentary on how Christianity as you say is so blooming in the country. Amazing to witness. Amen. Blessings.

Trump wishing Happy New Year...

Trump warns: 'If Iran shoots protesters, the US will come to their rescue'

US President Donald Trump warned this morning (Friday) that America could intervene in the massive protests within Iran against the Ayatollah's regime if Iranian authorities shoot protesters.

"If Iran shoots and violently kills peaceful protesters, which is their custom, the United States of America will come to their rescue. We are locked and loaded and ready to go. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J.TRUMP," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

On Thursday, Iranian media reported that the ongoing clashes and riots in Iran, which started as part of a broader wave of protests in the country, have claimed the lives of five individuals in the past 24 hours.

According to the reports, the five protesters were killed in confrontations with the police in Lorestan province in the western part of the country.

Iran's President, Masoud Pezeshkian, addressed the protests, stating that the government should guide the nation to provide assistance to all citizens, emphasizing that "the livelihood of the people is a red line." He added, "There is no problem that cannot be solved."
