Trump Threatens Russia With Sanctions

For years, Democrats have smeared Trump as a Russian asset, a puppet of Putin, and even accused him of colluding with Russia to steal the 2016 election. They’ve also been quick to criticize his blunt rhetoric on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, especially after Trump called him a “dictator without elections” last month. Following last week’s tense Oval Office meeting between Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Zelensky, Democrats erupted in outrage with the same old rhetoric we’ve gotten used to hearing from them.

“Let’s cut to the chase: The president of the United States is a coward who is Vladimir Putin’s puppet,” Democratic Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) told CNN. “And the vice president of the United States is a pogue and a coward who is Donald Trump’s puppet.”

“Our leaders acting like ventriloquist dummies for Putin. Disgusting,” Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) said in a post on X.

But on Friday, Trump demanded Russia get to the peace table "before it's too late" and threatened massive sanctions until they reached a settlement.

“Based on the fact that Russia is absolutely ‘pounding’ Ukraine on the battlefield right now, I am strongly considering large scale Banking Sanctions, Sanctions, and Tariffs on Russia until a Cease Fire and FINAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT ON PEACE IS REACHED,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. “To Russia and Ukraine, get to the table right now, before it is too late. Thank you!!!”"

Worst. Putin. Puppet. Ever.

Trump Threatens Russia with Triple Punishment if Peace Deal Is Not Reached Soon

President Donald Trump scolded Russia on Friday as it seeks to secure a massive battlefield advantage over Ukraine.

“Based on the fact that Russia is absolutely ‘pounding’ Ukraine on the battlefield right now, I am strongly considering large scale Banking Sanctions, Sanctions, and Tariffs on Russia until a Cease Fire and FINAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT ON PEACE IS REACHED,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

“To Russia and Ukraine, get to the table right now, before it is too late. Thank you!!!” Trump wrote.

“The first line of the post is the most important. For many months, the U.S. has been focused on the victory of Ukraine. Now there is recognition of the reality the Ukrainian position on the battlefield is bad,” Russian foreign ministry representative Maria Zakharova said.

“The truth is, Ukraine has lost, because they trusted and relied on the previous White House. In terms of new sanctions, we have faced so many sanctions already, and they have not stopped from realizing our goals.”

Russian strike on Ukraine kills more than 10 after Trump threatens sanctions

Russia struck the Donetsk region in Ukraine on Friday, killing at least 11 and wounding 30 people according to Ukraine’s officials, hours after President Trump threatened to impose sanctions on Moscow in an effort to drive ceasefire negotiations.

“Last night, the Russian army fired two ballistic missiles at the center of Dobropillya in the Donetsk region. After our services arrived at the scene, they launched another strike, deliberately targeting rescuers. A vile and inhumane tactic for intimidation that the Russians often resort to,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote in a Saturday post on Telegram.

“Unfortunately, 11 people have died so far. My condolences to their families and friends. More than 30 more people were injured, including 5 children,” he added.
