Trump taking the oath

I had to watch the tape again. It looks like Melania was a few seconds late in placing the two bibles she had for Trump to place his hand on. By the time she had his Bible from 1955, and the Lincoln bible, the Chief Justice had already started the oath.
Ok so it's just the media playing David Copperfield tricks and then saying he something he didn't do .

Fair enough then i'll give him a pass

Some onlookers observed that President Donald Trump didn't place his hand on the Bible when sworn in at his inauguration, prompting questions about how the Bible traditionally factors into the ceremony.
While it is common for incoming presidents to place their hand on a Bible while taking the oath of office, it's not a legal requirement.
Article VI of the U.S. Constitution states that "all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."

It was a pretty fine day for a Monday.

(@Tall Timbers, please send that covert team out and find us an American flag emoji!)

🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 eta: @Tall Timbers never mind, I found it! Just didn't come up on search.

Our Covert Ops fetched a couple more alternatives for you. The team is first rate, I'm telling you, some would even say they're the best Covert Ops team there is!

I don't think it was Trump's fault for not placing
So many are asking me, so I'll address it here.
Trump and the Bible and the "Swearing In"

First, NOOOOOO, Trump did not intentionally refuse to place his hand on the Bible.

Chief Justice Roberts hurriedly started administering the "Oath of Office" BEFORE Melania could even approach!

May have been oversight or time issues....not sure yet.

It WASN'T TRUMPS FAULT!
It was Roberts who would not wait.

Now, Constitutionally, all one MUST DO, is raise their right hand and swear to the Oath.
Abd THAT HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED..
THANK GOD!

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump asked for a "re-do", although it's not needed. 😉
😊😇
