Trump: Iran ‘Agreed to Everything’ Including Reopening the Strait of Hormuz and Not Enriching Uranium

President Donald Trump said Friday that Iran “agreed to everything” in negotiations with the United States following a news-packed morning that included the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump made the comments to NewsNation’s Kellie Meyer, who called the president after he announced the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, declaring that the United States will retrieve enriched uranium from sites bombed in Operation Midnight Hammer last June.

A U.S. official told Breitbart News these redlines included allowing for the retrieval of highly enriched uranium, dismantling all major nuclear enrichment facilities; ending all uranium enrichment; accepting a broader peace, security, and de-escalation framework that includes regional allies; fully opening the Strait of Hormuz, charging no tolls for passage; and ending funding for terrorist proxies Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis.

Vance left after giving a final offer, which he was hopeful that the Iranians, after reflection, would find in the best interest of both parties, the official said.

Trump Says Iran ‘Can’t Blackmail’ United States, After Ships Come Under Fire in Strait of Hormuz

President Donald Trump said that the United States will not be “blackmailed” after the Iranian military has once again proclaimed that the Strait of Hormuz will be closed and allegedly fired on multiple vessels on Saturday.

Speaking from the Oval Office on Saturday morning, President Trump said that while his administration is having “very good conversations” with Tehran, he said that the Islamist regime was trying to act “a little cute” by attempting to close down the Strait of Hormuz just hours after agreeing to open the critical waterway.

“They can’t blackmail us,” Trump said, noting that many international shipping firms have re-routed their traffic to purchase energy from the United States in the Gulf of America rather than in the Persian Gulf.

They're still playing games. It's worked for them in the past. The problem for Trump and his people is that there is no overall authority left in Iran. The central group has split into factions with some military on one side and some on the other. You can negotiate in good faith with one group that claims to run Iran and they could even agree to negotiate in good faith with you. But the other groups aren't part of that and they'll do what they do, unbound by what the first group may agree to.
