Any top executive would do the same thing. You surround yourself with the best talent available to be successful. Having those people support your agenda and policies is critical because without that support you cannot succeed. It is impossible with people underneath you undermining your efforts. Change is hard, you must follow the leader or go home one way or the other. This has been one reason why Washington is so corrupt, the malcontents have been allowed to stay and quietly sabotage administrations.
