Trump confirms he told Netanyahu not to act against Iran in private talks

Almost Heaven

Well-known
US President Donald Trump confirmed on Wednesday that he had warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week not to take actions that could disrupt nuclear talks with Iran.

"I told him this would be inappropriate to do right now because we're very close to a solution now," Trump told reporters. "That could change at any moment."

This comes after the N12 news site reported on Tuesday that the US president had warned Netanyahu not to take any action that could disrupt nuclear talks with the Islamic Republic.

TT, I agree with you............ I also am so glad that God has it under control. Cause if we were depending on man - any man - or
any group of men - to be in control, we would be severely disappointed, as well as be in some very deep doo-doo. I have about 0-faith
in any man, governmental leader, or world organization now. Ditto churches and church leaders.......... At this point in time ANY faith I have
is in God and His Sion, Jesus. Period. Amen.

New tonight. Trump orders the US Military to halt coordination with Israel on a possible strike on Iran’s nuclear sites. President Trump told Netanyahu not to attack while nuclear talks advance, but Israel continues to prepare for the potential assault.

Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE told Trump they object to a strike on Iran’s nuclear sites, Walla News reports.

(As of now), it Looks like Israel is all alone if it wants to attack Iran

This morning, PM Netanyahu ordered the IDF to prepare for independent strike on Iran, without US, Ynet reported; but it’s unclear if this is an Israeli pressure tactic for the nuclear deal or preparations for actual strike, this report said.

The top security echelon believes that a military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities is not only possible, but NECESSARY to ensure that Tehran doesn't acquire nuclear weapons.

With recent reporting, it wouldn't surprise me if these were the preparations that many American officials have "spotted" in the past few weeks. The movement has continued and there's been a noticeable pick-up in defense activity since last Thursday, verifiable via OSINT.

There's been a LOT of recent movement of Israeli Air Defenses throughout the country. This might be related to BARAK TAMIR, which is the simulated multiple-front attack scenario.

It appears that several new defense batteries are being redeployed to critical areas, namely the Nevatim & Tel Nof Air Bases.

Either Trump is stabbing Israel in the back or they're broadcasting a false narrative before they bomb Iran to Smithereens. Hopefully it turns out to be a false narrative.

I don’t get it. 😑

What I find odd is why in the first couple months this year Trump kept telling Israel “git-r-done’ and then lately it’s the opposite. :shrug: Unless he just thought Israel was dragging their feet too much and thinks he can do it better.

But then I don’t even read full articles anymore considering they’re so full of half truths and hearsay anyway.

Well, it just doesn’t sound like Trump to “stab them in the back”. Not that he isn’t a sinner and can’t make mistakes, only that he has a long long history of loving Israel and the Jews. :noidea:

I wouldn't jump the wagon to think Trump is stabbing Israel in the back quite yet
It's possible that he really believes there's a possible breakthrough deal possible with Iran, though knowing Iran, and the entirety of Islam, they can't be trusted to keep a deal of any kind when it comes to Israel just as Iran didn't keep their end of the JOPCA deal under Obama as they continued to enrich uranium and wouldn't let inspectors into their facilities to inspect.
Iran has made it clear that they won't stop the enrichment of uranium in any deal, but Trump is still trying.
I think Israel should just go ahead and do what they know is good for their security, with or without the US help as Netanyahu has stated.
But Israel is also trying to keep good relations with the US so it's going to be a tough but decisive move for Israel to go through with destroying the nuclear facilities.

I just think he feels "negotiating deals" is the way that everything will get resolved.

if he hasn't learnt from Putin, he should realise that the Islamic middle eastern culture has a different mindset to the west and most of the time will backflip on their word at a drop of a hat

What I've been thinking is what Trump said in March of this year and whether he was bluffing or serious because if it was just a bluffing threat to Iran they aren't going to take anything Trump says seriously.

This is what I am referring to.......

Trump letter to Iran set 2-month deadline to reach nuclear deal

19 Mar 2025, 11:17 pm

The letter US President Donald Trump sent to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei earlier this month included a two-month deadline for reaching a new nuclear deal, according to a Wednesday report by Axios.

The letter, delivered to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi via an Emirati diplomat, proposed renewed nuclear talks between the US and Iran, while threatening Tehran with consequences should it continue pursuing its nuclear program, the report said.

A source speaking to Axios described the letter as “tough,” since it reportedly ruled out open-ended negotiations and set a time limit for the parties to reach a deal.

It is unclear whether the two-month countdown began on the day the letter was delivered, or with the start of negotiations.

“I’ve written them a letter saying, ‘I hope you’re going to negotiate because if we have to go in militarily, it’s going to be a terrible thing,’” Trump said. “You can’t let them have a nuclear weapon.”

Think it's pretty safe to say it's a bluff, that's why Putin is running around having a field day at the moment

I went to bed thinking of your very wise post here, my sorrow watching my own new Prime Minister lead my country in ways I know will lead to destruction but this morning I woke up reminded of that old hymn My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less

and it was your post, set to music in a hymn that I love. I thought I'd chime back in, and agree here with all of you that although we see this world falling apart exactly as the Bible foretold, that our hope is in Christ. Not in the sweetest frame- not in the best of politicians and there have been some (Reagan!) but in Christ and Christ alone!

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

2

When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

3

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

4

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

Here is the music played without words by Kaleb Brasee: - YouTube

That hymn finishes with the hope of the Rapture!

I pray that Israel continues to plan for ALL contingencies..........and is prepared to attack Iran.
Mainly because over so many decades negotiations have not worked.. If Trump can get a good plan
going between Iran and Israel..........or at the least, get rid of the nuclear weapons, yaay for him. But, if
he fails in this endeavor Israel should be ready to attack at any given moment.
