WASHINGTON — President Trump said Tuesday that he’s preparing to halt federal funding to sanctuary cities and states on Feb. 1 — potentially yanking billions in revenue in response to laws barring cooperation with immigration agents.

“Starting February 1, we’re not making any payments to sanctuary cities or states having sanctuary cities because they do everything possible to protect criminals at the expense of American citizens,” Trump said during a speech in Detroit.

Sanctuary cities will no longer get funding​

Feb. 1 is the date President Donald Trump has said he would begin halting funding for sanctuary cities, but many unanswered questions remain.

The president has alluded to this several times in recent weeks, including in this Truth Social post announcing that deadline and saying that if states want sanctuary cities, “They will have to pay for them.” He also spoke about it when he was recently in Davos.

“I have directed that starting immediately, there will be no more payments to sanctuary cities because they are really just sanctuaries for criminals. They’re really protecting criminals. And those are the ones we have to get out of the country,” Trump previously said.

The White House tells NewsNation that the Office of Management and Budget is coordinating with federal agencies to implement the president’s plan, and officials are “gathering a complete report of funds being spent in each state that has a history of fraud.”

 
Its about time. But even so, is it not like totally not the direction things are supposed to go? Once we saw COVID and realized new found levels of corruption in the government, things were supposed to deepen into leaving us at the front door of the abyss. I remember being told to move on in 2020 and 2021 because now the real wickedness is "on." But now it looks like we are literally turning real world sobering corners that would be hard to come back to even under much milder political bottlenecking (far less than COVID levels of government corruption).

To me, it almost feels like 2020 was helping us to see what the world looks like if the globalists owned it and were about to inject on us (pun intended) the global reset. A tome made ready for all the really bad stuff to spin out of control right in front of us. And then all of a sudden John H. Globalist gets grabbed by the ear and mother scolds him on the way home not to be late for dinner anymore. And poor John H. Globalist is grounded for the night. Not able to come out and play because he had to go home for dinner. lol.

The Twilight Zone episode of, "Ladies and gentlemen, what you are about to watch is...not the twilight zone." Said Rod Serling, never. Or its one of those happy episodes where we thought all form of madness upon us. Breaking into night sweats. Only to pull the morning curtain back to the sweet combo of morning glow sunlight and chirping birds. As the lackluster suffocates us...lol. Whatever this is, and however it unfolds, i believe it is at least worth noting along the way that for whatever reason, it would "appear" that perhaps God might have called the globalists in for dinner...by the ear, perhaps? The ones who were the shoe-ins to lead us into the tribulation. Just saying.

Amen. They won't go without a fight. What makes I guess the most hopeful sense for the judicial is a super majority in house and senate. If we get that, the judges are easy impeachment prey. If we don't get that, it would not be a time for push back I would think. Because if we can't move the midterm needle, we won't likely the 2028 one much either. So i guess toast...lol. If we don't.

But yeah it would be great if judges arms are twisted along the way anyway. Where they are forced to do the right thing. Poor guys. :p
 
With all the turmoil going on over this, I can see these blue states saying, "Okay.... if we are not going to get the federal funding we pay taxes for,
then we are not going to pay taxes. We will create a holding account to pay our taxes into so we can use the money to fund our programs ourselves."
If California does that, those mega-mega dollars are going to be sorely missed by the federal government.........and, that will trigger less money to fund the red states. I could see a civil war popping up in due time........perhaps even secession. Maybe not such a good idea.
