This board is not like other ones.

Trust me. I'm not squeaky clean. I'm one of the most dreadful people here. I just mask it in your all's company. I thank you all for allowing me to bark about here.

That said, forums just don't pop off like they used to. I'm on several other forums unrelated to Christian content and even with thousands of members, there isn't a lot of activity. We are in swipe and sound bite culture now. Reading long or even short posts about various things just doesn't hit the way it used to.

I mean @Andiamo just said all this, but I figured I'd reiterate it and take credit for it, so there.

Of the people who join any of these Boards, only a small percentage of those ever actively participate. Every Board is like that. I know of a Board that has 70,000 members, but probably no more actively posting members than we have here. The new members who are inclined to get involved with the community by posting will, sooner or later. Many are content to read the content without adding to it. Others don't join but peruse the content.

Perhaps I should be a lurker!
I thought about that, and it horrified me. I don't recommend it. It's so much more fun this way. In miniature (and i mean super miniature) it reminds me of eternity. What we do now will construct (per His allowance and reward) what eternity looks like. The rewards or lack thereof will shape how God has fashioned for us to meagerly share in the makeup of how it looks forever more, "the real story." So in that light, its just great to have a chance at shaping our home. And having you brother as a part of that, amen.

Also triggering a song in memory -Rod Stewart's Great American Songbook series - he did that song in one of the many volumes. When he wasn't doing rock.
When i was young i was forced to listen to older music when they would drop me off to be babysitted by my grandparents or to school and everytime i see Rose's name the song by Ben E King Spanish Harlem flashes back for some weird reason LOL

This board is too squeaky clean, at Bible Forums I was ministering all the time. This is a World Wide Ministry, but sinner’s are allowed to post with their problems. It’s like a church with no outreach that just preaches to the choir, in my opinion.
I put some thought on what you said in the quote.
This board is a ministry. It is open for pretty much any discussion.
Why there aren't threads discussing the struggles with specific sins, I cant say.
What I do take note of here is that there isnt anyone of us who can say we dont struggle with some part of our sin nature, but when we take time to go through some threads, in particular in the Bible Study category, there are numerous threads that are helpful for those contending with such issues such as the ones that cover the question if one can lose their salvation, we are saved by grace through faith not by works, sanctification.
And there are others in the Bible study category that have content with scripture based council and encouragement that can minister to anyone in need.

What also came to mind was how often I have heard many say that they went to church, or watched a sermon on a video, and what was being preached seemed as though it was speaking to them. It was what they needed to hear at the time. This is how God works to speak to our specific needs. It may not touch everyone the same but there is always going to be someone that will receive the ministering through that one certain sermon, or bible study at church, and its the same here.

This board doesnt replace a physical church fellowship, but it supplements it.
We have our fun threads here, and we need that, but taking time to check the spiritual threads, like the Bible Study ones, we might be surprised how without even having to say anything we might come across exactly the ministering we need at that time.
This also works for those who are new to this board or unbelievers who come across CCF.
God speaks to the needs of anyone who earnestly seek Him.

"And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart"
Jeremiah 29:13

Many of our CCF family members have posted good bible studies, and other threads that can be helpful with the struggles of the sin nature, with topics on salvation, justification, sanctification, God's Grace, and more. Maybe within the content of those threads something will stand out and minister to our specific needs.

Well, this is what came to my mind when I went through this thread, and @Ronnie
Thank you for addressing this important issue.

Another thought came to me.

As followers of Jesus, we are His Ambassadors, representing Him and are commissioned to continue the work He began in preaching His gospel of Salvation, and in addition, we are the Body of Christ, and as Jesus Body in the Church, we have been given gifts by The Holy Spirit to use both for the purpose of edifying one another within the Body and to assist us in being effective messengers of the gospel.

Because not every believer is given the same gifts, there is diversity within the body and to each one of us we have different gifts, and every gift used together as a body brings efficiency to the needs of the church and also in sharing the gospel leading people to Jesus.

So if one of us starts a discussion on this board on a need for others that is moving our hearts, and when other believers add to that discussion utilizing The Word of God, it will reach someone.

How will the needs within the Body, and in evangelism be met if we hold back from speaking out?

"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?"
Romans 10:14

When we feel a tug in our heart and in our spirit for a need that could help someone, it could be the Holy Spirit moving us to use whatever gifts He has given to us to utilize it towards that certain need that someone may benefit from.

This falls in line with how some Pastors may work hard in preparing a sermon for a Sunday service but as the Pastor is ready to present it, suddenly the Spirit moves that Pastor to change the Sermon topic at the last minute.
This is typically because there must be a need by the listeners that has to be presented that The Holy Spirit moved that Pastor to abruptly change the Sermon topic and He takes heed to that call by The Spirit.

We all can have similar experiences where The Holy Spirit will use us to present a certain need in a study, a discussion, opening a thread here with a certain need, and the gifts we have been given will be used to address it.
Many times, The Spirit will move other believers in the Body to use their gifts to compliment a discussion that another believer started, and together as one Body the effectiveness of that message will reach somebody in need, maybe we wont know who, but God knows, and because we listen to that call to take the initiative to address the issue that tugged at our heart and in our spirit, God will bless us as well as those who received that message.
It doesnt even have to be a lengthy message, but what The Holy Spirit has placed in our hearts and He will direct where it goes from there.

11 "And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ"
Ephesians 4:11-13
