In northwest Houston, a man was killed and another injured after a shooting at the Scottish Inns and Suites on Antoine.
According to the Houston Police Department, the suspect had been leaning against a motel room doorway rented by another man and refused to leave. A few renters who were standing by attempted to get the suspect to leave, and the suspect became agitated, opened fire, and struck two victims.
One of the victims, a man in his early 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene, while another man in his mid-30s went to a hospital in a private vehicle.
He is expected to be okay. Another male also fired at the suspect and fled, and police are still looking for him. The suspect was later located by officers and a K-9 unit and taken into custody.
That is literally right around the corner from my house and nearly at my bus stop.
Then, on the way to work, one passenger assaulted another.
Not an easy day!
I did pass out some Gospel packets after the assault
So, today:
1. Came across a fatal pedestrian accident on the way to work
2. Cursed out and assaulted at work by a 70 year old coworker because I "cut her off"; and told her she had to do her own work. In front of 5 other associates and a team lead.
3. We occasionally get homeless in the store. One was high, manic, looking for trouble. A team lead gave her my name, location, and said I "was the only one who could fix it" I of course could not. Protocol says he should have gotten my team lead. Instead she was running around the store screaming my name, got in my face very ugly, almost assaulted again..
I mentioned to the team lead this is a safety issue as I ride the bus and he laughed at me in a very nasty way.
