Got cut off from CCF tonight, although my router was working fine, and although the Duck came up, it wouldn't search for anything no matter what I did.

I switched over to Brave and no more issues getting to/staying on this site.

Tor wouldn't have done me any good in this instance because Tor uses the Duck.


Maybe the Duck doesn't like my network name

It's very blatantly Christian, and everyone close-by sees it every time they get online (unless they've enabled auto-sign-in).

I quit using the duck. For me, it's proton vpn+brave.

I noticed a long time ago that my kids use search to go to sites they frequent. It's safer to either type in the URL or have it stored in your bookmarks. While it is unlikely that any bad actor has spoofed the CCF site, the habit of getting to where you want to go via search makes it a lot easier to be spoofed, and the sites that do get spoofed are often the ones that can do you great harm if you fall into that trap.
