Texas becomes 7th state to ban lab-grown meat, Trump administration advances it

Hol

Well-known
Texas will become the seventh state to ban the production and sale of lab-grown meat in September.

Florida was the first, followed by Alabama last year. This year, five more states, including Texas, followed.

They did so after the Trump administration took the opposite approach. In 2019, the first Trump administration was the first in U.S. history to begin the process to authorize lab-grown chicken, seafood and beef in the U.S.

In 2023, under former President Joe Biden, the U.S. became the second country in the world to approve the production and sale of lab-grown meat.

It's a no-go for me!!! And, as hard as it is for me to get around, I'm going to start buying my produce fresh from the weekly farmer's markets around me. The produce in the stores now do not last long in the fridge...... I think because it's not being harvested as well as it used to be since
ICE is rounding up the "illegal" pickers. It's sitting in warehouses longer before its transported to the stores, so it's not as fresh.

The plant-based “meat” is one thing- I tried it because my Mom got some “burgers” for us to try - it was definitely off putting, not horrible - but the idea of actual flesh grown in a lab is nauseating - I physically could not put that in my mouth. Would rather eat crickets.

I was just going to say, yeah, just give us bugs to eat. Much cleaner. Definately a part of the agenda to get us used to not wanting to see meat as a cateogory food. So the elite would have their fill, and help establish the peasantry identity of we the people. Unlike the (g)ods who rule us, we would understand bugs is fine protien. See its already working...lol. But I say that in jest, because it was where my thoughts actually went priory to reading your post. Blessings.

FDA Rubber-Stamps Fake Salmon With No Independent Testing, No Public Review

When you eat at a high-end, award-winning restaurant, it’s just normal to expect a top-notch meal made from the freshest, highest-quality ingredients you can get on the planet. So imagine sitting down and enjoying a beautiful piece of fish or sushi — only to find out that it was grown in a steel vat from lab-cultured fish cells.

Sound like science fiction? It’s not. In fact, it’s already happening, especially now that the FDA has approved lab-cultivated salmon to be sold to the public.

Most people assume that when a new food hits the market, it’s been rigorously tested, verified by independent scientists and approved through transparent, public processes. But when it comes to this fake salmon, the truth is far more unsettling.
