Russian President Vladimir Putin held a "frank and businesslike" phone conversation with his US counterpart Donald Trump, Russian Presidential Aide for International Affairs Yury Ushakov said, TASS reports.

During the conversation that lasted an hour and a half, the leaders discussed, among other things, Russia’s readiness to declare the Victory Day ceasefire, Ukrainian peace process and the situation in Iran. They also agreed to stay in touch, including personal conversations and talks at the level of aides and envoys.

Today’s call became the 12th phone conversation of the Russian and US leaders since Trump returned to the White House in early 2025. The previous one took place on March 9.

My general sense about the war in Ukraine is not about the free world vs Russia. Before Tucker left Fox, and was reasonably conservative, he used as a litmus test for Pres 2024 to be, how candidates felt about Ukraine. Those who wanted congressional funding were uni-party neocons. I believe that. Some may not. Zilinsky, to me, is just a European dupe via globalism (the dream of the EU). The EU would have the world EUed. Russia would have us serve Russia. One is a nation. The other a union. We should not be under the power of either. But that right there i believe better defines the war. What does Trump and Putin have in common? Along with Xi? They are leaders of a nation. The EU is an enterprise. Not a nation. In my mind Globalism wants to neuter nationalism. The Ukrain is for the EU, not for freedom as far as i can tell. They are/were a globalist money laundering Disneyland. Trump aligning with Putin in my book is not a bad thing. Blessings.
