Security Council set to meet over deadly Rafah strike

(AFP) – The UN Security Council was set to convene an emergency meeting Tuesday over an Israeli strike that killed dozens in a displaced persons camp in Rafah, as three European countries were slated to formally recognise a Palestinian state.

AFP journalists on the ground early Tuesday reported fresh Israeli strikes overnight in the southern Gaza border city, where an Israeli attack targeting two senior Hamas members on Sunday night sparked a fire that ripped through a displacement centre, killing 45, according to Gaza health officials.

The attack prompted a wave of international condemnation, with Palestinians and many Arab countries calling it a "massacre". Israel said it was looking into the "tragic accident".....

Yawn. Legitimate target when the enemy war-fighters purposely mix in with quasi-civilians so that things like this will happen. The security council doesn't seem nearly as interested in Ukraine and Russian forces targeting civilian assets directly. Abolishing the UN would be a good thing.

Safely also includes specific minimum distances from other hazardous materials/explosives, etc. to prevent propagation

And not mixing munitions, explosives, initiators, flammables, etc.
Or overloading, etc. said properly located, constructed, and labeled bunkers

Oh, and must not forget the required fire extinguishers inside and outside each properly located, constructed, and labeled bunker, along with adequate fire and haz mat response capacity for worst-case accidents/incidents


So much for PA, PLO, Hamas, ISIS, Islamic Jihad, muslim Brotherhood, etc. acting responsibly on behalf of anyone, especially the Palestinians Philistines

I don't recall such language coming from World Leaders over the deaths of civilians that war causes involving other nations like is being spotlighted on Israel.

I have yet to hear international condemnation for the atrocities Hamas did decapitating babies and burning babies in ovens and video taping it, and where's the Demand to release the hostages and to Stop attacking Israeli civilian communities?
