Earlier Saturday evening, the IDF confirmed: "Based on information that was received from the Red Cross, the hostages are currently on their way to the Rafah Crossing in the Gaza Strip."
Hamas has said that it passed 13 Israelis and four foreigners to the Red Cross, and this report was confirmed by the Red Cross. The number is lower than the expected 13 Israelis and seven foreigners who earlier reports had mentioned.
Most of the second group of released hostages are from Kibbutz Be'eri. Residents of the kibbutz, who are currently staying at a hotel near the Dead Sea, identified Sharon Avigdori and her daughter Noam in the Red Cross vehicle. They also identified a pair of siblings: 17-year-old Noam Or and 13-year-old Alma Or, whose mother was murdered and father kidnapped.
The IDF said, "Red Cross representatives have just transferred the hostages to Egypt. According to the information that was received by the IDF, 17 hostages were released, including 13 Israeli hostages and 4 Thai hostages."
"The released hostages' convoy is currently making its way through Egypt to the meeting point at Kerem Shalom.
"Security representatives will verify the list at the meeting point with the released hostages.
"The families of the hostages are being updated by IDF representatives with the latest available information."
