Scott Bessent says up to 70 nations want to negotiate over Trump's tariffs

Treasury Sec. Scott Bessent weighed in on America’s tariff negotiations with other countries during a late Monday afternoon appearance on "Kudlow."

President Donald Trump unveiled new tariffs on goods imported from foreign countries last week, including a baseline levy of 10% and "individualized reciprocal higher" tariffs on certain nations.

Bessent told host Larry Kudlow that Trump is "better than anyone at giving himself maximum leverage so what he has done is we outlined the tariffs on April 2 and then gave countries several days to think about it."

It's fascinating to me that they mention the number 70. Whether they realize the biblical significance or not.

That is the biblical number of the nations descended from Noah in Genesis 10.

Nimrod and Babel begin the whole rebellion against God- he led the nations at the building of the tower of Babel, and Abraham is the only one who actually follows God. All the other nations are part of the beginnings of Babel.

Here we are with 70 nations, coming to express their allegiance, or fealty to Trump. Including Israel the other day in that meeting with Trump that was broadcast.

That is a chilling repetition.

It's a little foreshadowing of that time in the future when the nations will gather themselves under the AC at the end against Jerusalem. (Trump is NOT the AC under any definition, but it's interesting that we are seeing a tiny clue- a foreshadowing of a time yet future when the nations will gather. Also I don't think America is the Babylon of Revelation. It's just a little preview though of how easily it will come together when it's time)

We were watching Sean Hannity last night, and the Democrats are aggravated with Gretchen Whitmer Governor of Michigan because she actually agrees with Trump on his stance on tariffs.
