Save America Act

The save act has not been passed by the Senate. What the vote involved was bringing the act to the Senate floor for debate and an eventually vote. This was important because it was being held up and not being placed before the full Senate. The way I understand it, forcing the bill onto the floor without a majority approving of putting it forward would have then required a super majority to actually pass it. Being presented with the approval of the majority of the senators, it will now only require a simple majority to be passed into law. There are still a lot of hurdles, but it's closer to being voted on and, hopefully, passed.

It still requires 60 votes to pass. As the bill currently is, no chance. If they strip a few of the provisions of the bill, yet keep the valid ID portion, it would have a better chance to pass.
