Trump moves nuclear submarines after ex-Russian president's comments

US President Donald Trump says two nuclear submarines are being deployed in the "appropriate regions".

"US President Donald Trump says he has ordered two nuclear submarines to "be positioned in the appropriate regions" in response to "highly provocative" comments by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

Trump said he acted "just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that. Words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences, I hope this will not be one of those instances".

He did not say where the two submarines were being deployed, in keeping with US military protocol.

Medvedev has recently threatened the US in response to Trump's ultimatums to Moscow to agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine or face tough sanctions. " ...

Nuclear threats continue back and forth between Putin's unofficial mouthpiece and part time troll and Trump who is not a stranger to late night tweets himself.

Keep in mind that Medvedev is used by Putin to say outrageous things that Putin can't say himself but wants to. He is fairly low on the food chain in Moscow, even though he is Putin's loyal puppet in these matters.

Putin uses him to gauge the temperature of Trump by analyzing responses which was what I think this was all about.

Putin is strategically ignoring Trumps demands to quit taking over Ukraine or else --sanctions, more sanctions, a tariff or two and yet more sanctions on India and China both of whom buy Russian oil.

Putin really doesn't care. He's busy doing Putin stuff even if it costs the last drop of his Russian soldier's blood to do it. He can't back away.

Meanwhile this gives him an idea of how likely Trump is to engage in a hot nuke war. He will adjust accordingly.

It's the Ninth of Av today at sundown Israeli time, which will continue for 24 hours.

At the risk of looking like a fool if war breaks out suddenly --I'm going out on a limb and say it's a nothing burger.

I know a lot of prophecy channels are concerned, and if we all suddenly glow in the dark, they might be right. But to my eyes, this was just Putin taking Trump's temperature to see how far he can push Trump with regards to Ukraine.

It's not going anywhere interesting right yet.

I think you're right Margery, i think this is just an escalation of bluff chess and to see who will blink 1st

Glad you said that - I’ve had to give a bit of fear to the Lord a few times watching the sub thing. I am more concerned about EMP than a nuke landing here. It’s in the back of my mind why We don’t come to Israel’s aid with Gog. Hopefully it’s the rapture. Bible prophecy keeps me level headed and brave. Marantha.

FWIW @Andiamo I don't think there will be a serious EMP event this side of the Rapture that affects the USA.

Here's why I think that way (just my opinion though)

A lot of computer stuff is required for the Mark of the Beast tech. The one place where most of the "information industry" that deals with computer and internet tech is the USA. There are trolls in Russia, and China wishes they had what the States has, and Europe and the UK are not far behind the States but think about where Microsoft, Apple, Intuit, Google, and the AI techie people all live and work.

The STATES!

If we are coming up on the Rapture and then the Trib in the short term (and things sure look to be shaping up for the Trib and post Rapture stuff) then it stands to reason that a major EMP event that knocks out enough internet computing ability to make a giant set back, will push that back quite a while.

We are sitting at a time when Quantum computing and AI have moved to the point that the Mark is possible, as is seeing the 2 Witnesses in Jerusalem from all over the planet.

If the States suffered a serious EMP- it would knock back progress on those counts for quite a while. I don't think God will allow it, and I don't think the enemy wants it. It just doesn't fit the prophetic picture very well. Unless the Tribulation is a lot further away than it looks.

I think the States has to be around after the Rapture- just in a weakened position, in order to provide the techie stuff for the AC that the EU and the UK can't yet provide.

It's actually the techie stuff that is your biggest export around the world. Not manufacturing, but the brain stuff.

Hopefully that gives you some peace of mind.

More evidence of The Restrainer at work: Satellite Photos Reveal Damage To Russian Submarine Base After Tsunami

Have a look at the damage from the recent earthquake/tsunami on the Russian submarine base (nuke subs ok) - nice before and after shots.

Remember this quake and tsunami were dated on July 29th.

That by the way was the SAME day that Medvedev threatened Trump. I can't find the exact time but it does look like the earthquake happened at 1130 am on the morning of July 29th.

This Time magazine article here: Trump and Medvedev's War of Words Escalates to Nuclear Threats places the Medvedev threat to Trump early on Thursday which would be early on July 29th.

If the quake had just happened, I could see Medvedev trying to look tough to discourage an enemy taking advantage of "mother" Russia in a moment of weakness

except for the fact that the time looks like BEFORE the quake took place.

Trump gets under Medvedev's skin a bit, Medvedev sends a response invoking nukes

Then God arranges for a really big quake right beside the Russian eastern sub base (near Alaska) that damages that facility.
