Russia and their economy

@Spartan Sprinter shot me this news article MSN which actually lines up with what Konstantin has been warning of in his Inside Russia YT.

From the article: (It's only a couple of paragraphs)
"For over two years, Russia has grappled with sanctions imposed by Western nations, particularly targeting its oil and gas exports.

This significant revenue stream, which fuels much of the wartime economy, has been drastically reduced, and the Russian president acknowledged this week that the country’s economy has been deeply affected.

In addition to sanctions, Russia faces unprecedented national interest rates, with the central bank raising the rate to 21%.
"

The headline is that he will have to stop the war soon, and that is a bit of a reach --but something the sanctions are doing is forcing him to form alliances within the BRICS group, the alternate economy.

He does face problems with the interest rate, taxing the ever shrinking work force even higher to fund the war effort. He may have gold and oil but getting those out of the ground takes manpower. Manpower that may be in a grave due to the fighting in Ukraine (and the mismanagement and mistreatment of the Russian troops by their officers).

He does need to stop the bleeding- quite literally- both money and military age males who are also the backbone of his workforce. He needs to ease up the tax burden and allow his economy to recover.

Normally I don't use Zero Hedge much. The owner is a former Bulgarian, and it's been known to allow Russian disinformation to float out into the western news media. I can't tell if it's purposeful or his sources just use him occasionally to throw Russian propaganda at the West in between a lot of good stuff. He does have very good articles though. Like this one Biden's New Anti-Russia Sanctions Blitz Puts India & Others On Notice | ZeroHedge which I'm almost positive is a bit of Russian messaging but it's truthful and in this case it highlights the dangers of sanctions. They backfire, and grow the economy that they are targeting by forcing it to grow in directions that evade the sanctions. In this case more and more countries are being drawn into this alternate economy.

from the article:
"The United States on Wednesday unveiled a new sanctions blitz targeting Russia and third parties believed to be helping it circumvent the ever-expanding net of Western sanctions. The US is trying to disrupt supplies of technological and industrial parts and components aiding the Russian war machine and defense sector.

The fresh US Treasury and State Department action lists nearly 400 new entities and people spanning more than a dozen countries. It is being described as the "most concerted push so far against third-country evasion," the State Dept. said.

"This should send a serious message to both the governments and the private sectors of these countries that the U.S. government is committed to countering the evasion of our sanctions against Russia and to continue putting pressure on Russia to end its war in Ukraine," a US official has been quoted...
"
........

then finishes with this:
"The major BRICS meeting hosted in Kazan, Russia just wrapped up last week and Vladimir Putin was looking anything but isolated. This included warm moments, and a literal embrace, between the Russian president and India's Narendra Modi.

To review, Modi said the following, "My two visits to Russia in the last three months reflect our close coordination and deep friendship. Our Annual Summit in Moscow in July has strengthened our cooperation in every field...In 15 years, the BRICS has created its special identity and now many countries of the world want to join it." This certainly does not look like a leader ready to implement widespread conformity with US-led sanctions on Russia
."

That's right on track for a hungry Russia to look for spoil as seen in Ezekiel 38. Not so devastated that they can't field a large attack on Israel, but hungry enough to want to.

If the US isn't mentioned in end times prophecy (other than perhaps in Ezekiel 38-39, or perhaps in the part of prophecy that God told John not to write in Revelation 10:4), God may be aligning the economics of the world for MOB, etc. If all or most of the people in the U.S., who claim to be Christians, do actually believe, then The Rapture will really destroy U.S. influence and impact on everything.

If the U.S. is included in the references to young lions, then it doesn't look good for the U.S. to be around . . .

I searched young lions in KJV on BibleGateway:

Yep and Trump's big financial trump card is to impose more tariffs on these nations which may very well backfire on him and lead to the scenario you mentioned.

Tariffs different than sanctions, with different goals and effects, but both use a carrot and stick approach. If not applied judiciously, either or both can backfire.
