ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (AP) — Russia’s economy is “on the brink of going into a recession,” the country’s economy minister said Thursday, according to Russian media reports.

Economy Minister Maxim Reshetnikov delivered the warning at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the annual event in Russia’s second largest city designed to highlight the country’s economic prowess and court foreign investors.

Russian business news outlet RBC quoted the official as saying “the numbers indicate cooling, but all our numbers are (like) a rearview mirror. Judging by the way businesses currently feel and the indicators, we are already, it seems to me, on the brink of going into a recession.”

I was actually thinking the same thing. Russia's economy had been sliding for a few years now. To actually acknowledge the problem means it has become critical and can no longer be ignored or papered over.

Incentive for Russia to get the hook in taking a plunder for booty, resources of wealth, from Israel? Ezekiel 38 coming soon, maybe?

I agree with many in the prophecy circles that what is currently happening with Israel and Iran is Not the Gog and Magog war
But I also agree with what many echo in saying that things are accelerating so fast its hard to keep up with everything happening and always changing on a daily basis and a lot can happen much quicker than we think.
There are analysts who believe that in no time Israel will get their surrounding threats under control either militarily or with a "peace" that will be coming in the near future that will have Israel in that sense of security that will lead to the Ezekiel 38 scenario.
As close as it appears that we are to being raptured, and the start of the tribulation, I can see the Ezekiel 38 invasion taking place not long after the rapture of the church.
But I also keep in mind Only God knows His timing to fulfill His Prophecies

I agree. Obviously Israel is Not dwelling in safety with "unwalled villages".

And there is a host of Eze countries not currently in the mix, and the warfighting is in Iran, not Israel... and probably much more. The Eze war may not last as long as this one already has once its time comes.

For anyone who might think this is the Eze war, the term Bible Illiterate comes to mind.
