That is referring to fallen angel that was locked into the abyss after the Genesis 6 incident

It can' be Satan who is a cherub and the verse doesn't say that the angel has a throne either.
No Gen. 6 incident. That is false.

Throne means authority.

`And war broke out in heaven Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was there a place found for them in heaven any longer.

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan,....` (Rev. 12: 7 - 9)

Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. (2 Cor. 11: 14)

What the heck am I reading here.
So what kind of king was Lucifer, pray tell? Who did he reign over?
How could a king - any king - exist in the actual, heavenly sphere of the Almighty?
Hi Andiamo,

OK, so let`s go.... (pun)

How you have fallen from heaven, O lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground you who weakened the nations! For you said in your heart, "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High." Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the pit. (Isa. 14: 12 - 15)

This is not an answer to my questions.

Surely this would be the perfect place to share your testimony. We'd be most interested.
OK, if you are interested.

I was brought up in the Apostolic denomination, a fourth generation. My maternal grandparents and family came out from Scotland, sent by the Apostolic Denomination, to help the new Church organization in Australia and New Zealand. Grandfather was called as an Apostle and became President of the movement in Australia and New Zealand.

I was taught by other Apostles, Prophets and Teachers, Pastors and Evangelists early on and thus had a good grounding. (Some of them came out of the Wesh Revival) I gave my heart to the Lord when young but went forward in the Billy Graham Crusade. Later in a New Zealand camp for young people up in the hills I received the infilling of the Holy Spirit, (about 16 years old).

I became a teacher and went to the country to teach. In my `30`s (early `80`s) I went to the Apostolic Bible College in New Zealand, in the hills. There were people there of other denominations too. Then in 1987 I married a farmer and we still live in the country. My husband is semi retired but helps the different farmers around here.

Over our married life we have helped in different denominations - Pentecostal, Anglican, Apostolic. My husband is an elder and I taught Bible and played the piano. At the moment we are teaching and fellowshipping with different ones in the various towns around here.

I have had many illnesses and thus have had to learn to pace myself with my limited strength. Thus, using the computer for discussions is a real blessing to me.

I have many Bible College notes that help me as I share with others. I do realize that many haven`t heard of the different topics I write about. Thus, I am not surprised to have people react or give other views. It is all part of the journey as the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth.

Thank you. Marilyn.

Thank you for sharing your testimony. It is always encouraging to hear of the way God works in our brothers' and sisters' lives. I so enjoy reading whenever He is glorified. I'm sorry to read of you're many illnesses. Many here can sympathize with multiple afflictions. And certainly as an octogenarian I know that our bodies certainly have an expiry date and let us know! But, through the grace of God and the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ, we have no expiry date! Glory to His Name!!!

I agree it did not happen but Lucifer did say I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. (Isa. 14: 13)
his saying "I will" doesn't imply that he did.
It was mearly a desire in his heart that never happened because God knew what was in his heart.

Again, From the verse you quoted....

O Lucifer, son of the morning... you said in your heart I will ascend.. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God... I will be like the Most High. Yet you shall be brought down.. (Isa. 14: 12 - 14)

Lucifer wanted to be "like God", but God's Omniscience didn't allow it to happen.

There are many gods, false gods, but Only One Almighty God.
There's no one like Almighty God, and Never will be.

“Remember the former things long past,
For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is no one like Me,"
Isaiah 46:9

Lucifer lost his place in heaven because of what was in his heart. What was in his heart never came to be.
Lucifer was allowed to be the "god of this world" for a time, until Judgement comes.

"In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."
2 Corinthians 4:4

"Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out."
John 12:31

Hi 1LoverofGod,

As I said previously, yes, it was Lucifer`s desire, however he said I will exalt my throne above... He did not say If I had a throne I would....

A eight year old kid makes a declaration to his friend. “I’m going to ride my bike all over town. I’m going to learn to pop wheelies and I will be the coolest kid ever.”
Did this mean he had a bike already?
No. He actually wanted one for his birthday.
But someone listening to that conversation may have incorrectly assumed that he already had a bike. But the truth was that he did not have one yet. And his father wasn’t planning on giving him one.
