In a nutshell Israel is hoping to replace Hamas and the Palestinian Authority (which are both terrorist groups, one in Gaza primarily, the other in the "west bank".

With the old form of Arab self govt on a village by village basis involving the tribal family leaders.

Apparently Hamas and the PLO murdered a lot of these "rivals". Originally they would rule their little village and if Israel wanted to come in and arrest someone, or deal with a problem, they would show respect and go to the tribal leader and everything would work as well as it could.

This may actually be something that doesn't give land away, but replaces the Palis and Hamas with a lot of little tribal leaders, kind of like dealing with individual towns- the mayor doesn't "own" the land, but he is part of the govt structure- elected here in the West, but in Arabic culture this was the tribal leader.

Unfortunately, this form of government, because religious (islamic) in nature, promulgates and enforces sharia, with its attendant persecution of Christians and Jewish people, and oppression and abuse of women and girls. An emirate is a haven for jihadis . . .

They claim that the Quran has only one version in Arabic, but the truth is that over 20 versions exist. The variations aren’t like our various Bible versions, but contain extreme differing doctrines. They will agree to disagree to join in fights against us infidels, but internally they hate others with other versions. It boils down to small tribal families.

This is why many islamic countries are virtually all one sect. Very seldom is a minority sect comprise more than 10-15 percent, and the majority sect's application of sharia is the law. If a very conservative sect is the minority, it will apply it's stricter application of sharia to its own members, and generally the more liberal sect will tolerate it. However, if the majority sect is the more conservative, it will impose its version of sharia on everyone, or try, anyway.
