OpenAI plans to develop up to ten Stargate data center projects across the world, as it continues to develop its $500 billion US joint venture.
The company has asked for representatives of interested governments to reach out through their representatives in the US and through its executives based in our offices around the world.
OpenAI said that it is seeking formalized infrastructure collaborations - which will still be "in coordination with the US government."
Partner countries would be expected to invest in expanding the global Stargate Project "and thus in continued US-led AI leadership and a global, growing network effect for democratic AI."
OpenAI is currently targeting ten projects with individual countries or regions as the first phase of this initiative. Previous reports said that the company was interested in the UK, France, and Germany.
