Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu landed on Thursday in New York, where he will address the United Nations General Assembly before meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House.

“At the Assembly, I will speak the truth—the truth of Israel’s citizens, the truth of IDF soldiers, the truth of our state,” said Netanyahu before his departure early Thursday morning. “I will denounce those leaders who, instead of condemning the murderers, rapists and child-burners, seek to grant them a state in the heart of the Land of Israel. That will not happen.”

Danny Danon, the Jewish state’s representative to the United Nations, hailed Netanyahu’s trip to the United States in a social media post as “an important visit for the State of Israel, especially at this moment in time, when we hear too many false voices from the U.N. podium.”

“Tomorrow, the prime minister’s speech at the General Assembly will strengthen our position and make clear to the world: Israel is fighting on all fronts, and its security is not up for debate,” according to Danon.

IDF ordered to broadcast Netanyahu’s UN speech across the Gaza Strip, reports say​

The Prime Minister’s Office has instructed the IDF to hook up loudspeakers throughout the Gaza Strip so that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to the UN General Assembly can be broadcast live to its residents, Hebrew news outlets are reporting.

According to Channel 12, the army has voiced opposition to this order, as it would require soldiers to leave their posts and enter areas of the Gaza Strip that put them at increased risk of being targeted by Hamas operatives.

Still, the Haaretz newspaper reports that the army will not defy the PMO’s request, and is preparing to broadcast Netanyahu’s speech across Gaza.

One military official tells Haaretz that the move is an act of psychological warfare.

Netanyahu’s speech is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Israel time, and is expected to primarily focus on blasting Western recognition of an independent Palestinian state.

I don't know how "live" Netanyahu's speech is on YT, but watching it now. Bibi said his call to release the hostages was also streamed live to the cell phones in Gaza at the same time. Praying the hostages were able to hear him over the loudspeakers, and they are strengthened.

The head of urban warfare studies, Col. John Spencer, he’s probably the world’s expert on urban warfare, says, “Israel is applying more measures to minimize civilian casualties than any military in history.”

And because we’re doing that, the ratio of non-combatant to combatant casualties is less than 2 to 1 in Gaza.

That’s an astoundingly low ratio, lower than NATO’s wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, especially when you consider that Gaza is one of the most densely populated urban areas on earth. It has hundreds of miles of terror tunnels underground, and it has countless terror towers above ground, and thousands of terrorists embedded in these tunnels and in these towers in civilian areas.

If you want to see what measures Israel takes to avoid civilian casualties in this war, just look at what we’re doing now in Gaza City, the last Hamas stronghold, one of the two last strongholds.

For three weeks, Israel dropped millions of leaflets, sent millions of text messages and made countless phone calls urging civilians to leave Gaza City before our military moves in.

At the same time, Hamas implants itself in mosques, schools, hospitals, apartment buildings and tries to force these civilians not to leave, to stay in harm’s way. It often threatens them at gunpoint if they try to do so.


For Israel, every civilian casualty is a tragedy; for Hamas, it’s a strategy. Hamas uses civilians as human shields and as props in its sick propaganda war against Israel. A propaganda war that the Western media buys hook, line and sinker.


Despite Hamas’ threats, close to 700,000 Gazans, almost three-quarters of a million, have already heeded our calls and moved to safe zones.

Blood libels​

Now, I want to ask you a simple question. A simple logical question. Would a country committing genocide plead with the civilian population it is supposedly targeting to get out of harm’s way? Would we tell them to get out if we’re trying to commit genocide? We’re trying to get them out. And Hamas is trying to keep them in."

I think God is using him even though he isn't a believer- perhaps because God is empowering him as the leader of Israel to lead wisely in an age where everyone is out to kill Israel off and perhaps also because Bibi loves his part of the Bible, the OT scriptures. His father was the same, and taught his kids. Bibi had scripture memory contests and his kids were part of that.

I keep hoping and praying that somehow, some way he and his wife and family get saved.
