Last week I posted a link to an article written by Dean Dwyer about Divination, and this week he’s written a follow-up to that, “Meddling with Mediums: Despite God’s Warnings, Occultism Is Thoughtlessly Being Absorbed By Our Culture.” (link below)
As found in the last article, the occult and its various offshoots of it are alive and well in our day. And in mankind’s search to find something to believe in, instead of trusting in the Lord, Jesus Christ, this road looks so shiny and sparkly when in fact it’s hopelessly dark and demonic. Those who don’t have ears to hear continue to be sucked into the popularity of what the occult may offer. The number of those being deceived in the US alone “… is valued at $2.3 billion!” Astounding it It may be shiny and sparkling, it’s downright demonic.
My brother in law, who recently decided that to “live his life to the fullest,” he wanted a divorce from DH’s sister after 40 years of marriage. He’s now heavily involved in “spirit guides” and yoga. He’s also decided he wants a “green burial,” basically he’s going to become “human compost.” He’s always been a little out in left field, but insisted many that he was a born again believer. And if you asked him today, he’d say the same thing. It’s a good thing that he hasn’t said that to me…..
Having grown up in Northern California there were (and are still) so many men and women acting as if they were “Christians” but truly were not. However, all that goes throughout the world, so much so that it’s easy to see the signs that Jesus warned would happen when the “end times” were near! Personally, it’s nearly impossible to convince other family members that still live there that Jesus Chris the only way to eternal life. But I won’t stop trying and praying!
God gives plenty of warnings to mankind in both Old and New Testaments about these practices. There is absolutely no hope in these things - only eternal damnation if people continue in this way. Mankind’s only hope is found in Jesus Christ ALONE!
