Be honest. You’re seeing things every day that you didn’t think you would see in your lifetime! It must be the last days. Up is down, and black is white. Evil is good, and good is evil. But some of these items listed, I never could have imagined. Here is just my latest short list of things I didn’t think I would see:

1) Per Tucker Carlson, I have a brain virus because I support Israel. Who could have imagined such an accusation? As a self-proclaimed Christian, Tucker surely doesn’t know the Bible, which is as pro-Israel as you can get! “He that keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps” (Psalm 121:4). Nor does he understand the word “irrevocable” (Romans 11:29), which tells us God keeps His promises (to the Jews).

2) I never thought that I would get worn out, exhausted, and depleted from warning the clueless that time is running out. This is a new level of delusional thinking that life will only get better despite all the biblical warnings. It’s all falling apart, folks, so that last day’s issues can fall into place! Happy days are only in eternity.

3) The fact that we keep celebrating evil is mind-blowing and the essence of perilous times: Israel’s October 7 and the election of a radical—Zohran Mamdani as NY City Mayor. It’s beyond our imagination. First, we cheered for Hamas and now for Mamdani. Why do we keep having sympathy for the devil? I had hoped that died with the Rolling Stones. How will Mamdani honor the 25th anniversary of 9/11 next year? Does this bother anybody else?

4) I never thought I would see, and I can’t understand, why most churches stayed silent after October 7, but those same churches were silent after Charlie Kirk was assassinated in September of this year. What gives? Why will pulpits today not take a stand?

5) A violent school shooting—Annunciation Catholic School—transpired last August, a few miles from where I grew up in Minneapolis. The takeaway, sadly, was that no one should exercise “thoughts and prayers.” Not that blue cities like mine don’t work and that they draw criminals like a magnet. But that prayers were a worthless waste of time. Who could have imagined such a twisted conclusion? What a sign of the times! The predicted mockery is displayed.

I couldn't begin to imagine how evil could exceed the sodom amd Gomorrah days, the times right now are bad enough!!

I could never have even have imagined the lunacy that we're seeing today. All of it is the embracing of evil and the eschewing of all that is good. That's the foundation of it all and what rises out of that foundation is often laughably insane until it affects you directly.

I sometimes imagine going back in time and telling my mother who died in 1970 what life would be like now, still before the Rapture but watching everything moving into position.

She'd have no frame of reference for same sex marriage, for suicide on demand, for the massive drug use, pornography and criminality being accepted as normal. Or for the way we turned the insane asylum residents out on the streets to fend for themselves and terrorize entire communities. How 911 happened. How Canada would let in muslim murderers as citizens and then demand that Canadians just put up with the rapes and murders. How Jews in Canada are tormented by these muslim terrorists. She wouldn't understand how we let it get like this.

I don't understand how we let it get like this. But here we are. knocking on the door of the Tribulation, wondering how long before we are Raptured, yet seeing the need for salvation everywhere around us.

I think like the boiling frog analogy, it just feels like this has all been subtle and has now accumulated into where we are now.

Im gonna try and compress a long post into frozen concentrate here. Hope it works. First off, thanks @Andy C for posting that article. I really feel Jan's heart. I guess in a way she reflects what I understand to be the Loadicean effect, where churches have been affected greatly like that today--for many reasons.

This voice of Jan's needs to be heard. And I am not just saying I am glad to see this thread. This voice needs to be heard, amen.

My main difference though would be where exactly we place the "prime directive" focus? I understand Jan's lovely heart (as is the heart of many) in focusing the prime directive in getting people saved. Regardless of what I say here, that kind of should be. BUT, the biggest win of souls will likely have most effective changes through believers best calibrated in discernment of our day. Even with that statement, I'm not exactly convinced of my view on that...lol.

I say best calibrated (frozen concentrate) to basically mean the fruit of the Spirit of what is sound and reasonable. This may mean different things and themes to different people. But whatever it is, it is sound and reasonable. To me, it is reasonable unbelievers will be blind and mock. To me it reasonable the church at large be Laodicean blind like in ways too. What is most lovely of Jan is her cry regardless. Amen!!! And what spiritual stature. Amen. To be greatly honored. Amen.

BUT, if part of end times is God's plan to prop Israel up for Ezekiel 38 status, that might mean Israel becomes more powerful and at peace. And it might mean the middle east experience real peace for a moment. And that might mean America does become great again for a minute. I just don't think it is sound and reasonable as much to have convictions about what we know will happen to Israel and what we know will trap the whole earth and allow them to drown out what ALSO God might be doing in HIS wrap up of end times age of grace. Maybe God wants Israel to become great again. Maybe He wants economies to flourish again for a short time. If that is His will, it would not be sound for the church to parade 666 onlyism.

We are the church of the most high God. We are the bride of the most high God. As high a privilege as that is (and there is no higher), He and His shots are called and defined by Him. Not us. But the good news is we are the bride of that One. I feel Jan's pain. I think her voice as is needs to be heard. But if saving souls is the absolute end game...God can and will use whatever He wants. But He does also want to use sound and reasonable filled to brim. Which might even be somewhat metaphoric af what we all might come to see somewhat occur in the not too far off future. Guess we will see. Hope this was more succinct in style. In any event, I am blessed the church cares as Jan expresse her heart. Amen. & Blessings.
