Measles outbreak nears 300 cases, more than 30 hospitalizations in Texas and New Mexico

The ongoing measles outbreak along the Texas-New Mexico border is approaching 300 cases with more than 30 hospitalizations in Gaines County, Texas, and Lea County, New Mexico, according to state officials in both jurisdictions.

The latest update from the Texas Department of State Health Services on Tuesday confirmed that 279 measles cases have been identified in the state since late January, connected to 36 hospitalizations. One fatality was reported in Texas last month, a school-aged child who was not vaccinated against the disease. Thirty-eight cases have been reported by the New Mexico Department of Health.

Measles was declared eliminated in the United States in 2000, but new cases have emerged as vaccination rates against the virus have declined, health experts warned. Indeed, 99% of those infected in Texas were not vaccinated or their vaccination status was unknown, the state data show.

I'm wondering if these outbreaks (in a few other locations besides these two) are where illegal immigrants who were not tested for diseases were sent. Part of my legal immigration involved being tested for a number of transmissible diseases and being vaccinated against a whole slew of them. (At my expense, of course.) But I didn't mind because it was all to keep America safe. Apparently the vast majority of illegals did not have this done. There were no criminal checks as there were for me, and no medical checks. If the previous administration had been trying to purposely destroy America they could not have done much different than what they did. It was absolutely criminal. I know people blame Joe Biden but I think it is clear that he was not in charge and often did not know what he had signed (if indeed he did sign something. There are a lot of questions about autopen signatures and now some wet signatures as well.) Those who were running the nation through the White House have slid back into the woodwork, but I hope the current administration smokes them out and deals with them as the traitors they are. I'm not speaking of political revenge. Not at all. I'm speaking of what was done to the nation and what must be prevented from ever happening again. Papering it over and saying the past is the past will not help. For the sake of this great nation it must never be allowed to happen again; and that means exposing it and dealing with it, once and for all.

If we take notice when the uptick in diseases began.
It was when Biden opened the border wide and the millions began entering the country.

Lying corporate media continues to gaslight American parents on measles outbreak: Here’s the truth about America’s ‘first measles death’ since 2015

A video report was just released by Children’s Health Defense exposing the corrupt mainstream corporate media, which loudly and repeatedly announced that a 6-year-old child died in Texas recently of measles.

Due to new information, we now know that this report was patently false. The child did not die of measles. The child died from medical malpractice. Let’s unpack the facts, which belie the propaganda we’ve heard on the television, radio and social media.

Let’s start by saying these reports recklessly spread panic and fear throughout the mostly rural West Texas community that includes nine counties in and around Lubbock. The rampant media fearmongering was used to get more kids vaccinated who didn’t need to be vaccinated.

Media reports like this one from the local NBC affiliate spread like wildfire and caused parents anxiety far beyond Lubbock, Texas. The CDC was also guilty of spreading the disinformation, as it colluded with the media outlets to report “the first measles death in the country since 2015,” according to NBC’s false report.

Key points from the Children’s Health Defense findings included the following list compiled by medical researcher Steve Kirsch and posted to his Substack:

  1. lease of the medical records to CHD.
  2. The 6-year-old child was recovering from the measles (and was out of danger from dying from the measles), but developed pneumonia.
  3. The hospital gave the child the WRONG antibiotic combination (deviating from the standard of care).
  4. The child got worse.
  5. The doctors should have tried the correct antibiotic at that point, but did nothing.
  6. The test results on the culture revealed the type of infection and the doctor ordered the correct medication, but it was ordered to be started 10 hours later (instead of immediately).
  7. The correct medication was started after it was too late to stop the infection.
  8. Note: the community of Lubbock, Texas, avoids vaccines due to too many vaccine adverse events in the community. Apparently, the gaslighting (“this is normal”) is not working in this community.
Kirsch noted:

“The mainstream media lied to you creating a panic and questioning RFK’s measured response. Do you think any of them will apologize for getting it wrong? In your dreams, maybe. I’d be absolutely amazed if there were any apologies for getting it wrong and falsely alarming people.I’d be further amazed if any of them correct the story. Mainstream media should be telling parents to follow the science and do NOT vaccinate your kids.”
Kirsch pointed out there have been 10 studies in the peer-reviewed literature now comparing fully vaxxed and fully unvaxxed kids. The fully unvaxxed kids do better on every single health measure. The mainstream media does not want you to know any of this because it would make them look foolish and corrupt for all the untruths they’ve been feeding the American public for decades about vaccines.

The truth is, kids have been getting measles for hundreds of years. Outbreaks come and go. The overwhelming majority of cases do not end in death or permanent injury. Vaccines were never the cure-all for measles that they were promoted to be by the lying American media in collusion with a corrupt American government and medical establishment.

I hope every media outlet that reported the lie about a Texas girl dying from measles gets sued into oblivion.

Thanks for posting this.

One doctor gave very sound advice. He said if parents want to get their kids vaccines they should, but no one should be mandated to get shots. He added a second piece of advice, check out the number of deaths from measles this past 10-yr compared to deaths from the measles vaccine.

thank you. so much lying out there.

my baby is unvaxd and i feel good about my choice... but the lying headlines do tempt me to worry at times.

i frequently review what the late great Dr. Robert Mendelsohn said about so many vaccines... that the diseases were eradicated, or greatly gone, before the vaxes for them even came out! and that in other countries, where vaxes werent pushed so hard, the disease declined despite the smaller reach of vaccines. so, whats the real saving grace here? whats the REAL reason the diseases went away, without vaccines being introduced? so much more to learn, but knowing the headlines tend to boldface lie, that helps me ignore what they say.

I think science shows that endemic diseases in society largely go away when herd immunity is reached. But when that occurs the pharmaceutical industry and it's denizens --including doctors, hospitals and pharmacies-- don't make money. Vaccines and mandates vaccinations generate big, big bucks

Why such a high hospitalization rate?

Measles was one of the "big 4" childhood diseases when I was a kid.
Measles vaccine was just coming out, so most kids weren't vaccinated against it, so we got sick and recovered. Very few had complications, and extremely uncommon to die from it. Every year, we'd hear a very few kids from the whole Twin Cities had died from measles or complications. We grew up knowing that this was part of life.

Kindergarten year, I got 3 of the 4 because first year in school and exposed to "everything" like all of the other kids (preschool and even daycare was very uncommon then). I remember being so sick, I asked for an alcohol bath. I hated them, but always felt so much better afterwards in clean pajamas, feeling nice and warm and clean, and Mommy tucking me in. That and baby aspirin were how really high fevers in children were treated at home then. Tylenol was still new and most people still used aspirin.

I didn't get chicken pox until 3rd grade

which/whose science shows?

my info comes from people who admit the vaccines are harmful; those who tout herd immunity, however, are on the opposite side. so which is true? and who is saying what? lots to dig into.
Exactly. But I am leaning towards scientists with no financial skin in the name. And many of them see more harm in mass vaccinations than without. When I was a kid, measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox, all those things, were just part of life. We all got them ... In fact my mother would send me to play with kids who had them so that I would catch them and be protected in future. And we all survived them. Without vaccine.

That's how I got chicken pox

Some vaccines, like polio and smallpox, make sense for mass use because the diseases do have a high mortality rate.
Others, only for high-risk individuals and those in specific circumstances.

Proper sanitation, clean water, and proper food handling and preparation go a long way preventing stuff.
And people keeping their sick kids and selves home :tap:

Herd immunity can be achieved by children getting sick, recovering, and passing antibodies on to their children, both before birth and afterwards by breastfeeding.

It seems that a lot of illnesses take a bigger toll in contagiousness, seriousness of sickness, length of sickness, and mortality the less people breastfeed because kids don't have the antibodies to fight off exposure or to fight the sickness if they get it. Before all the vaccines, I bet the children, who were breastfed, generally got fewer illnesses, and what they did get were generally less severe and shorter, than children, who weren't breastfed.

Of course, if that were widely touted via PSA and doctors, both BIGFormula and BIGVaccine profits would suffer.
Medical practices' profits would simply shift back to treatment of generally milder cases of the illnesses, the occasional severe case r complication(s), and helping Parents care for their children via education and support, instead of an impersonal (painful) shot(s).

At least around here, a woman sitting or walking around in public breastfeeding isn't unusual, banned, or frowned upon. A lot of companies have lactation rooms separate from women's restrooms for pumping and/or breastfeeding, as well (laws require this, but not sure if it applies to all employers). At least one mall does, and there are some publicly-accessible businesses and other places that have big comfy chair(s) with an individual adjacent table reserved for breastfeeding women (XX). Most people, including homeless, respect the signs reserving the chairs for that purpose. It's common enough that no one stares or laughs.

I wish the people coming from elsewhere would retain this particular aspect of their culture, and that more US women would adopt the practice. Breastfeeding in public is legal in all 50 States and D.C.

My kids are unvaxxed too. My husband and I went back and forth on what to do. Then we met with our last pediatrician and she told us that in all of her years in practice she noticed that unvaccinated kids had robust immune systems and those who were vaccinated were sickly and unhealthy in the long run.

Mike and I were floored she told us that out loud. That pretty much nailed our decision along with all the books we read from both sides of the vaccine fence.
