Mass layoffs expected at Department of Education

I'd like to see the DOE closed. It's history is quite sad with regards to the quality of education in the USA when DOE was first stood up and the abysmal K-12 lack of education today.
Seem similar to internation trade ripping us off and seems to go with a whole host of other things. Caroline Leavitt recently affirmed we are in a massive financial shift away from America being syphoned. Dumb us down with Tiktok. Raid the cookie jar, and educate them with See Jane Run. Had it not been stopped, we would become by virtue of our being targeted, literally the dumbness country on earth.

In my 40 yrs of working from age 16-56, I’ve been laid off 4 times, mostly due to programing jobs being offshored and just changing business needs, not due to my performance, my reviews were great.

I can’t believe the number of people crying about how horrible it is for the government and private companies to do layoffs. Just get another job, yes it’s a horrible experience, but I don’t understand why someone would think a job is like a forever thing.

And then there’s the people setting up go fund me accounts saying that they have worked for this specific place for 30 years and how horrible it is that they were just let go. Just get another job and reflect on how blessed you were to have been able to work at one place so long. Also, how do you not having any savings after working for 30 years and instead need to go straight to the go fund me route? People need to toughen up and be more responsible.

💯

My job history had similar ups and downs. You need to get up if you’ve been let go instead of caving into a panic of self pity. Sadly, the Unions educators have tend to benefit by encouraging members to play victims.

Any and all conservative leadership moves to break up and/or dismantle the NEA has been a LONG time coming due to their extreme malice and rabid liberal, socialist, marxist, leftist policies and push to educate children in the like. They should have self policed and shut down the ever increasing garbage over the past 3 to 5 decades.

Unfortunately, government workers have the same mind-set as our senators and representatives....... they do feel they are entitled to a lifetime guarantee of their job.
The upside of course is that we are even talking about this. Pretty amazing only 2 months in to the new administration. But yeah, America has been conditioned over decades. If these truly are end times, "Men will be lovers of self..." is most certainly talking about America. See, we are in prophecy...lol. Blessings.

The starting wage and in lots of places the wage is $15 per hour which is just over 31000 per year. $31000 is what I made half way through my engineering life. And while making $15 per hour $600 per week $1200 per pay or $31000 a year. Everything else went up in price. So now $15 per hour won't even keep one alive and in a house driving a car.

Now with Trump working on taxes and imports and work things are going to get worse before they get better. Individual income tax out. But watch what happens. The employer won't take income tax out of your pay, but they won't drop the price of their product either.

Nobody looks at the long haul anymore. They only look at how much they get to keep.

I totally agree! In the private sector, this type of thing happens all the time. Most of the belly aching comes from those civilian employees who feel “entitled.”

I’d love to see a mass audit at the Post Office, beginning with a hard look at why the Post Master General is the second highest paid employee in the US, second only to the President, who’s not taking a salary. DOGE needs to audit every single post office so they can explain why they remain top heavy in management, where 99% of promotions come because of being not a white male. Personally, I’ve seen people who are dumber than a box of rocks get a promotion because they’re not white and/or they are female.
