I have said this before and I’m going to say it again. The Democrats are the party of BAD ideas and the Republicans are the party of NO ideas.

In Chicago, which is the modern-day equivalent of the wild, wild, west, another bad idea has arisen. Alderwoman Maria Hadden, is promoting a proposal from a group called the Native Sons “asking” gang members to restrict their shooting to between the hours of 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM.

Attention! Attention! It is now 9:00 PM, Gang Warfare and Random Shootings Can Now Commence!​

Can anyone see gang members following these rules? In fact, they are probably still laughing hysterically. Seriously, can’t you just picture a gang leader addressing his crew, “Hold it boys, just relax, it isn’t 9:00 yet.” The could even announce it over loudspeakers: Attention! Attention! It is now 9:00 PM, Gang Warfare and Random Shootings Can Now Commence!

Hadden was re-elected in February of this year. She campaigned as the first black queer woman to be elected to city council. So her view is obviously clouded by “wokeness.”

Tatiana Atkins, who identifies by the pronouns she/her, is the co-founder of Native Sons, a community activist group. “Protect the youth no sliding while the sun is out,” reads a flier for the proposal, known as “The People’s Ordinance.” The promo also includes an image of a white picket fence dappled with colorful clouds and a plea: “Don’t shoot! I want to grow up.”

Atkins defended the proposal saying, “We have to start somewhere. Our goal is to approach our city’s gun violence problem strategically and not all at once. Things didn’t become this way overnight and change won’t happen overnight.”

“Under this ordinance, we ask that people stop associating with and “glorifying shooters,” stop glorifying “switches,” and stop wearing those ski masks everywhere which perpetuates you as some opp. When those who live a certain lifestyle try to hang with “regular” class citizens, they put everyone at risk.”

I'd say, "at least it's a start", but I think gang members or other people who are shooting people in that city are ignoring the request. Who'd of thought they'd diss the alderwoman like that...
