The Kremlin warned Tuesday that Russia would go into conflict with the NATO alliance if member nations sent troops to Russia to fight on Ukraine’s behalf, according to The Moscow Times.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said Monday that several EU and NATO members are considering sending troops inside Ukraine, while French President Emmanuel Macron said the same day that “nothing can be ruled out” in ensuring a Kyiv victory over Russia, according to Politico and The Associated Press. The Kremlin responded that such a decision would result in a military confrontation between Russia and NATO, the Times

“This is absolutely not in the interests of these countries, they should be aware of this,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters in response to Macron’s statement, according to the Times. “The very fact of discussing the possibility of sending certain contingents to Ukraine from NATO countries is a very important new element.”

Peskov added that if soldiers were sent to Ukraine to fight on Kyiv’s behalf, “we need to speak not about a possibility but of the inevitability” of conflict, according to the Times.

Still very precarious when dealing with Russia/Putin with his recent year+ threats of using nukes as needed. The whole thing is alarming and concerning. I suppose nukes is a major theme of the 7 year Trib? Not to mention chemical warfare. Makes me wonder if sooner/later Russia, China, mid-East nations, etc. independently or collectively tell USA, etc. to stay out of the Middle East and do not assist, sell, give, help Israel with military supplies again.......under the same threat that NATO is with Russia for Ukraine troop involvement, etc.

Zechariah 14:2-4 sets the scene of that final time-

Then we get to the part to which I think you are referring. Zachariah 14:12 says of that moment--

"This is the plague with which the LORD will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths."​

I think it's unlikely. If it does happen might as well disband NATO as they will have brought a war upon themselves. Ukraine is not part of the alliance.

I initially thought we would have some forces on the ground there, but glad I was wrong. I wouldn't rule out eventual UN forces being sent there, but that would be a major escalation. If we and other allies cut off funding for Ukraines war, it would be over really fast.
