Yeah, I agree in principal with his thought that Jesus isn't an ally of the Republican party (of which I am not a member), but a lot of what he shares indicates a lack of knowing Jesus.

Reminds me of that encounter Joshua had with the Angel of the Lord - the pre incarnate Christ here in Joshua 5

13 Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?”


14 “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord have for his servant?”


15 The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.

God is so far above and beyond any human "side". He is for God, for Goodness, Righteousness, Truth, Mercy, Justice and we fit into His plans.

But for this comedian to imply that God is for the other side is blasphemy. When the left aligned themselves against Israel, against innocent unborn children, against Christian bakers and eliminated God's design for human sexes (2) then they aligned themselves against God.
