Joe Rogan stuns podcast host with wild new theory about Jesus — and AI

Comedian Joe Rogan praised Christianity as a faith that really "works," calling biblical scripture "fascinating" during a recent interview.

On an episode of "American Alchemy," Rogan cited the Bible when he spoke about how easily knowledge could become mysterious, conflated, or unbelievable when passed down through generations.

"We'll tell everybody about the internet. We'll tell everybody about airplanes. We'll tell everybody about SpaceX; as much as you can remember, you'll tell people, but you won't know how it's done. You won't know what it is. And I think that's how you get to, like, the Adam and Eve story," he said.

"Jesus is born out of a virgin mother. What's more virgin than a computer?" Rogan began. "So if you're going to get the most brilliant, loving, powerful person that gives us advice and can show us how to live to be in sync with God. Who better than artificial intelligence to do that? If Jesus does return, even if Jesus was a physical person in the past, you don't think that He could return as artificial intelligence?"

"And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.
5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many."
Matthew 24:4-5

"And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.
15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed."
Revelation 13:15-15

Praying for him to exercise his faith and trust in Jesus.
The way he describes "biblical scripture "fascinating", it seems like this is new for him.
If he has never really been accurately introduced to, and hasn't been familiarized with God's Word with sound doctrine, then I can give him some reasonable consideration to his unbiblical remarks, like his thinking Jesus would return in AI due to lack of knowledge of scripture.
I would call it ignorance on his part.
I will pray for him.
Maybe God is drawing him towards Jesus?
If he is genuinely seeking God, being that he finds scripture "fascinating", and needs guidance by a biblically sound teacher to get accurate understanding of scripture, I think God will send someone to teach him, and hopefully the seed of Truth will take root, and he will get saved, and he will grow in accurate understanding of scripture.
God says,
"If you seek me you will find me"
Jeremiah 29:13

"No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him;"
John 6:44

"I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase"
1 Corinthians 3:6

"he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”
Matthew 13:23

"And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:32

Yes, that’s exactly how I see him.

I was the same way, totally ignorant about faith in Jesus, the Bible—EVERYTHING! Decades before I got saved I tried to read the Bible but it just didn’t make sense!
And God patiently waits for those who belong to Jesus to come into the sheepfold

9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."
2 Peter 3:9

27 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand."
John 10:27-29
