East & Central Asia: China is the largest producer in the Asia-Pacific region, pumping over 4 million barrels per day — though its consumption is more than double its production, making it heavily reliant on imports. Kazakhstan is the standout in Central Asia, and Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan also contribute meaningful volumes.


South Asia: India leads this sub-region at around 670,000 bbl/day, followed by Pakistan at ~101,000 bbl/day, though both countries are massive net importers.


Southeast Asia: Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam are the main producers here. The Asia-Pacific region as a whole also has a significant "other" cluster of smaller producers collectively adding about 144,000 barrels per day. Brunei, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Timor-Leste round out the region with smaller but active operations.


Oceania: Australia produces around 398,000 barrels per day (as of 2024), ranking 32nd in the world — but consumes far more than it produces, at over 1.1 million bbl/day. Papua New Guinea and New Zealand are small but active producers as well.
