Jared Kushner poised to steer Trump’s Middle East agenda behind the scenes

Jared Kushner, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s son-in-law, is expected to play a key advisory role in shaping the administration’s Middle East strategy, despite not holding an official position, CNN reported on Friday, citing regional diplomats and Trump allies.

Trump recently unveiled his Middle East team, naming former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee as the U.S. ambassador to Israel and real estate mogul Steven Witkoff as a special envoy to the region. Still, Kushner’s trusted relationships with Middle Eastern leaders make him a pivotal behind-the-scenes figure, sources said.

“No one on the incoming team has what Jared has, and that is trust,” a diplomat said. His influence, they added, stems from personal connections and trust earned over time, a quality not yet established by other incoming advisors.
However, Kushner’s business ties in the region, particularly his close relationship with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, are expected to reignite criticism. During Trump’s first term, Kushner’s investment firm received $2 billion from the Saudi sovereign wealth fund, raising concerns about conflicts of interest.

Not surprised at all. Jared does have a lot of experience in the area, he helped hammer out the original Trump Peace Deal aka The Deal of the Century, and he was instrumental in shelving that Peace Deal when the Abraham Accords were suggested to replace the Peace Deal.

The Abe Accords consist of trade and normalization between different Arab Muslim states and Israel. They recognize Israel, and in turn they get to start trade deals and tourism.

Sudan signed on after demanding that they be dropped off the State Sponsors of Terror list by the USA. As expected, they signed and the terrorism label went away. And they got a 1.2 Billion dollar loan from the US. Morocco sold itself into the deal by gaining rights to the Western Sahara as recognized by the USA.

So far it's UAE, Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan.

it will be interesting to see further developments into the Abraham Accords under Kushner. I expect to see the Saudis sign on board once they see Trump in power again, bringing stability back to the region. Trump is a favourite among the Saudis.

Since the war started by Gaza last fall, it's doubtful that the Deal of the Century will be revived, but I do expect some help for Israel from Trump and his team.

Great to see that Don is still with us , here's a recent articel from him regarding the Abraham Accords

It has now been over a year since Israel was attacked by Iranian backed Muslim terrorists. Israel’s war against the enemies that surround her is progressing. I believe the end of this war only comes after Iran’s present government is taken out along with their nuclear capabilities. I do not believe Israel can do this alone without using nukes. Only the USA has the long range bombers for the 30,000 lb bunker bombs that would be necessary to do the job. It looks like America shortly will join with Israel against Iran. The navel forces we now have in that area are there for a reason. They cannot stay there forever.

THANK YOU! I keep checking his site, hoping for 2 things that 1 he is still here PTL!!! and 2 if he has thoughts, any thoughts. His thoughts are always worth exploring.

Edited to add, I just read the whole thing and WAY TO GO DON! completely agree!

edited to add:

One exception. I don't think the Abe Accords are the framework for the AC covenant that kicks off the Trib. They may set the stage, but as they stand they don't create the necessary problems with signing on.

Why? because they don't divide the land. Nothing, absolutely nothing in the Abe Accords gives Israel anything except recognition as a genuine legitimate nation and it encourages but doesn't mandate economic benefits, trade and tourism.

NOTHING in there about the land or the Temple which would make it bad.

But Isaiah terms it a covenant with Death and Hades, and Daniel implies that the Temple might be a part of the agreement.
