Israel Prepares Plans for Strike on Iran’s Nuclear Facilities After Destroying 90% of Syrian Air Defenses

Israel’s Army Radio reported Thursday that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) began preparing plans for Israel to attack Iran’s nuclear sites after destroying nearly 90% of Syria’s air defense capabilities, which had formerly protected Iran.

Army Radio military correspondent Doron Kadosh reported on air that Israel had destroyed 86% of Syria’s surface-to-air missile capability, among 500 other sites that the IDF had targeted since the fall of the Assad regime Sunday.

Kadosh elaborated, in a post on X, that Israel had used 1800 munitions in the attack on Syrian weapons — munitions that had been intended for other purposes, but were switched to the new mission once the fall of the regime began.

Now, he said, with a “clear axis to Iran,” Israel’s military and intelligence officials were preparing operational plans for an attack on the regime’s nuclear facilities. The decision to launch a strike would be left to elected political leaders.

At this point it is a no brainer to completely destroy all of Iran's nuclear sites...

Netanyahu to Iranians: Peace Coming ‘Sooner than People Think’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the Iranian people in a speech Thursday in which he urged them to rise up against their government, and promised them a future of peace and prosperity when Iran is free.

The speech, Netanyahu’s third in recent months, came as Israel reportedly considered plans to attack Iran’s nuclear program, which is vulnerable after Israel destroyed almost 90% Syria’s air defenses after the fall of the Assad regime this week.

Israel also destroyed Iran’s air defenses in an attack in October, which was a response to a massive ballistic missile attack by Iran earlier that month. Iran also attacked Israel with ballistic missiles, drones, and cruise missiles in April.

This message from Bibi seems to me to be an indication that in addition to destroying the nuclear sites, they're going to go after leadership as well.

What I meant was, I can't picture him encouraging them to stand up if he didn't have some plan of action to help them as they do it.
Otherwise, they will all me murdered, I would think.

I don't think Israel would invade on the ground. I think it'll be up to the Iranian people once Israel weakens the regime with bombing runs. I think he's just letting them know that an opportunity for regime change is coming soon, but I expect it'll be up to them to take advantage of the opportunity.

It gives hope to the Iranian people, and I don't think Bibi gives false hope. There have been brave Iranian volunteers who have helped Israel in the past. Some have quite likely died trying to free their country.

I hope and pray that Israel is able to take out the leadership AND the nukes without too much collateral damage.

IF that fulfills Ezek 32 and Jeremiah 49 (the Elam passages) this might stop Iran from using nukes during Ezek 38. Assuming that Ezek 32 happens before Ezek 38 and it wasn't something from the past that was fulfilled back in the distant past.
