Well-known
Israel is in talks with South Sudan about the possibility of resettling Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to the East African country, six people familiar with the discussions confirmed to the Associated Press in a report on Tuesday night.

The deal between South Sudan and Israel could help the two countries build closer ties, the report added.

Report: South Sudan agreed to accept Gaza residents willing to leave the Strip

The South Sudanese government has agreed to accept residents who choose to leave the Gaza Strip, but faces domestic opposition that makes it difficult to advance the plan. According to a report in the British Telegraph, citing a source in the Foreign Ministry in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, the government agreed to a request as part of a deal involving the United States and the United Arab Emirates. The Foreign Ministry source noted that the U.S. is expected to lift sanctions on South Sudan, and Israel for its part will invest in health and education in the country.

Yes very interesting observation @Almost Heaven. Internet AI highlight...

In October 2020, the two countries announced that they would establish diplomatic relations (Sudan/Israel). On 2 February 2023, they officially finalized a deal to normalize relations, but was postponed indefinitely due to the ongoing civil war in the country, as well as the War in Gaza that began in October 2023.
