Is This the Season of Jesus’ Appearing?

****I received this newsletter from
Jonathan Brentner****

Are we close to hearing the trumpet blast that will signal our sudden departure from earth to glory? One event this past summer has many watchers hopeful for Jesus’ soon appearing.

In July, UN member nations gathered in New York City and ninety of them agreed upon a document calling for the recognition of a Palestinian State and the division of the land God gave to Israel. This resolution puts the world well down the road to the fulfillment of Daniel 9:27 when antichrist will make a covenant with “many” guaranteeing Israel’s security (see also Isaiah 28:14-18).

In my most recent blog post, Bible Prophecy and the UN’s Demand for a “Two State Solution,” I discuss the prophetic ramifications of this latest news from the UN. Although antichrist cannot make his deal with Israel and the nations before the Rapture, world events will rapidly move the world in this direction after our departure.

Based upon Bible prophecy, the clamoring of the nations to impose a peace deal upon Israel and divide the Land is what we would expect to see in the last days. But that’s not the only reason for recognizing our day as the season of Jesus’ appearing. There are many more. . .

The Miraculous Existence of Israel

As Bible prophecy continues to unfold before our eyes, it becomes increasingly clear that the tribulation couldn’t possibly have begun until after Israel became an established nation. Israel’s miraculous rebirth as a nation in 1948 not only fulfilled the words of Isaiah 66:8, but it also paved the way for the fulfillment of all the other end time prophecies.

Many of the signs we see today have also happened at various times throughout history, but two things make our day vastly different than any previous era. First, Israel exists as a nation, a necessity for the fulfilling of what the Bible says about the days before Jesus’ return. Second, there has never been a previous time in history when the convergence of such a vast number of signs occurred pointing to the soon beginning of the seven-year Tribulation. Never.

The Bible also tells us there must be a temple in Jerusalem for antichrist to defile at the midpoint of the Tribulation. The passion to build a temple has grown exponentially in Israel during the past several years.
The Temple Institute is training Levites to serve as priests in the future temple and has already procured the architectural designs for it. They are ready to immediately begin its construction once they have permission to do so.

Unawareness

In the Gospels, Jesus instructs us to watch for His return and warns of the unawareness of the last days, which has already reached epidemic proportions.

In Luke 17:28-29,the Lord compared the “days of Lot” to the period just before a time of judgment would sweep across the earth. Just like the people of Sodom, people today are unaware of the fast-approaching Day of the Lord when God’s wrath will overwhelm the entire planet. In addition, the LGBQT+ agenda has become mainstream and is accepted by most people. We have most assuredly returned to the “days of Lot” just as Jesus said would happen before His return.

Jesus also pointed to the “days of Noah” as an illustration of the pervasive normalcy bias that would exist just before the future time of worldwide judgment (Matthew 24:36-39). This accurately depicts life today in America.

And just like Noah’s day, violence again fills the earth (see Genesis 6:11). I could write a long article on the many ways that our day resembles the “days of Noah.” Similar to the preflood era, advances in AI and Transhumanism threaten to change the human DNA.

So far, 2025 has been the year of devastating flash floods throughout America as well as the world. Yes, God promised never again to send a flood such as we read about in Genesis. However, could the catastrophic flooding of recent months be the Lord’s way of reminding people of His warnings in Mathew 24 when He compared the last days to those of Noah?

Like the woman on the train pictured below, most people and many believers remain blind to the early signs of God’s judgment happening outside their window. They are too absorbed in this life to recognize that we again live in biblical times.

The Seal Judgments

I have often written about the nearness of the seal judgments recorded in Revelation 6, which happen after we are safely in Heaven. Each time, I think we can’t get any closer to them apart from the Rapture happening, but we do.

For example, the world has long teetered on the brink of economic disaster. How is it possible that America’s enormous debt level, now over 37 trillion dollars, has not led to depression conditions? Many experts have long predicted such an outcome and but for the Lord’s restraining hand, the US economy would surely have completely collapsed long before now.

The conditions of the sixth seal in Revelation 6:12-17 closely resemble what scientists predict will happen when a pole shift occurs. The north pole has been slowly moving for many decades, but in recent weeks the pace has greatly accelerated.

In the past thirty days, there has been a huge uptick in the number of strong earthquakes and we now have a record 84 volcanos erupting. These are just a couple of several signs pointing to the future fulfillment of the sixth seal, which I believe the Lord referred to in Isaiah 24:19 when He said, “The earth is utterly broken, the earth is split apart, the earthy is violently shaken.”

The world is truly on the edge of a tumultuous time like no other in history. Are you watching for Jesus’ appearing?

Our Blessed Hope

The above signs are just a few of the many reasons confirming that we live in the season of Jesus’ appearing. The Rapture might happen at any moment and as believers, we will suddenly find ourselves in glory with our Savior.

Please know that our “blessed hope” is wonderful beyond words; it comforts us amid the sorrows, hardships, illnesses, and troubles we so often encounter in this life. The words Paul penned in Titus 2:11-14 tell of our wonderful salvation along with our glorious anticipation of Jesus’ appearing.

In a recent blog post, The Ghost of a Good Thing (2025), prophecy expert Pete Garcia wrote the following about our amazing “blessed hope:”

The “blessed hope” to me is not about escaping this broken world in the nick of time (although that’s admittedly an added blessing), but it is about finally being in a reality where all things are made right. And that reality can only exist for us when we are finally freed from sin. And our freedom from sin can only be by one Person, the man Christ Jesus.

Our hope of glory is far beyond amazing! Jesus will soon appear and transform our current bodies into immortal and incorruptible ones that will endure forever free from sin, shame, illness, pain, and death. Wow! I often read 1 Corinthians 15:47-55 and take in the wonder of all that the Lord’s promises us.

I love the excitement across the internet/YT, etc. but often find way too much hype, hysteria, numerology, dreams/visions to be outside scripture. Lots of date setting and resetting and resetting, and oh yes.....even more resetting. Not good for testimony to the outside looking in. Lots of psychosomatic weirdness. Lots of seeing the rapture in just about anything biblically or in the movies or tv or music or pop culture. Don't get me wrong because I'm VERY excited, but sometimes it feels like so called watchers and watchmen and watchwomen are not really all that; and they end up being wrong again and again. 9/23 or 9/24 is an exciting hope but is it really as based and a surety as is being claimed?
