Just waiting for the Rapture at this point!
Is there any spiritual relevance to Trump becoming president?
The short answer for me is yes. Now what I am going to say is just what I believe and of course could be completely incorrect. As this is just my theory, if you are not interested in theories you may want to stop reading now.
So here it goes…
Ever since I was saved over 40 years ago and learned about the Rapture and Tribulation I have been comparing it to Sodom. I have and still believe that sin/evil would be the primary cause of why God would Rapture us and the Tribulation would start. So with that said, let’s look at what happened in Sodom.
The cliff notes regarding Sodom is that it was a totally sinful place with only one righteous man named Lot. While Lot was righteous he was not very brave or bold. I believe he only stayed in Sodom because that is what his wife wanted. To make my point of Lot not being brave, he offered up his daughters with no effort to fight the crowd that wanted his male guests (Angles).
So the Angles came to both take Lot and his family out of Sodom before the destruction and also give Lot a chance to convince others to leave Sodom as per Genesis 19:12.
Genesis 19:12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
Now that Lot saw just how powerful the Angles were he became bold and tried to convince his sons in laws to leave Sodom with him in Genesis 19:14.
Genesis 19:14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
So it is interesting to me that God choose to send Angles showing their power and giving Lot time to convince his sons in laws before destroying Sodom. Why did God do that? Why not just tell Lot to get out of Sodom?
So with those cliff notes about Sodom I will tell you why I believe this will be similar to the Rapture and Tribulation. Those who know me know that I believe the Rapture will happen this year. If you believe that is far-fetched that is fine, but let’s just say it is close. So what does this have to do with Trump becoming President you ask?
In America Christians have become very weak and are no longer brave or bold with sharing the Gospel similar to Lot. Why? For the same reason that Lot was not brave or bold, because of the resistance and possible retaliation we may face. It has come to the point where many Christians are actually hiding the fact that they are Christians. Now that Trump will be president all that has changed. We no longer have to fear what may happen to us as Christians and can now become brave and bold just like Lot.
So I believe that God has given us a short amount of time like he did for Lot to become brave and bold and share Jesus with whoever we can before the Tribulation. This is why I believe God allowed Trump to be president to protect us and allow us to be brave and share our belief. Trump is not going to save the world or even save America. It is much too late for that.
OK, so if you believe all that I have said is far-fetched and has absolutely no basis of fact that is fine. However, just know that the one thing that is true in America we no longer have to fear retaliation for sharing our faith. Be brave and bold now that we have Trump’s backing just like Lot had the Angles backing.
