Iran tells Hamas it will not enter the war with Israel

Iran’s supreme leader told the head of Hamas in a face-to-face meeting in Tehran that his country would not enter the war with Israel and accused the terror group of not giving any prior warning of the Oct 7 attacks.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei told Ismail Haniyeh that Iran – a longtime backer of Hamas – would continue to lend the group its political and moral support, but would not intervene directly, according to three Iranian and Hamas officials with knowledge of the discussions who asked to remain anonymous.

The supreme leader pressed Haniyeh to silence those voices in the Palestinian group publicly calling for Iran and its powerful Lebanese ally Hezbollah to join the battle against Israel in full force, a Hamas official told Reuters.

That's very wise of Iran as they can see that Israel at the moment is not doing things in half measures. That will leave Iran intact, rather than destroyed, to fight against Israel another day.

I liked your article, but I don't ever trust anything coming from the mouth of Khamenei.
Be it war or peace, he speaks with a forked tongue and does whatever him pleases.

Lying is not only tolerated, but even cheered on in the Koran, if it suits their purpose.

I was watching an analysis of the war by an Israeli Christian David Tal being interviewed by Lee Brainard of Soothkeep (an old english word meaning Truth Fortress, not soothsaying) and David Tal (a former tank commander in the IDF) was explaining that Iran prefers to never spill it's own blood, but uses proxies and spills theirs instead.

He half serious, half joked that Iran didn't expect to lose all the Hamas blood so fast, and it's protecting it's Syrian and Lebanese assets (proxies) blood for now while they figure out a new tactic.

David Tal said they are very concerned that Lebanon doesn't enter into it more deeply, because the IDF is making progress now with Hamas and they don't want a second front.

Too many Israeli citizens are either displaced out of the danger zones in the north and over by Gaza or they are involved in the military actions. It's been very difficult for the Israeli economy.

That is exactly how that tank commander put it. He figures Iran is waiting to build back up after the losses with Hamas.
