Top Iranian official Ali Shamkhani says his country is ready to make a deal with President Trump by agreeing to never make nuclear weapons in exchange for lifting economic sanctions.

Shamkhani, a top political, military, and nuclear adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, told NBC News on Wednesday that Iran would commit to never creating nukes, getting rid of highly enriched uranium stockpiles that can be used for weapons, agree to only enrich uranium to lower levels for civilian use, and allow international inspectors to supervise the process, if economic sanctions on Iran are immediately lifted.

He said "yes" when asked whether Iran would agree to sign an agreement that day if those conditions were met.

“It’s still possible. If the Americans act as they say, for sure we can have better relations,” Shamkhani said. “It can lead to a better situation in the near future.”

Trump offered "an olive branch" to Iran on Wednesday that included threats of crippling economic sanctions if the country didn't agree to limiting its nuclear program.

Accepting Iran's terms on this will have them not even missing a step in assembling their nuclear weapons and mounting them on missiles.

Iran warns nuclear talks will fail if US pushes for zero enrichment

US special envoy Steve Witkoff reiterated Washington’s stance on Sunday that any new deal between the US and Iran must include an agreement not to enrich uranium, a possible pathway to developing nuclear bombs.

“Our position on enrichment is clear and we have repeatedly stated that it is a national achievement from which we will not back down,” Takht-Ravanchi said.

“We have one very, very clear red line, and that is enrichment. We cannot allow even 1% of an enrichment capability,” Witkoff told ABC’s “This Week.”

In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi posted on his X account: “If the US is interested in ensuring that Iran will not have nuclear weapons, a deal is within reach, and we are ready for a serious conversation to achieve a solution that will forever ensure that outcome. Enrichment in Iran, however, will continue with or without a deal.”

We need to demand zero enrichment then... What I actually think we should do is completely blow up whichever nuclear site is closest to Tehran... blow it to smithereens, and then ask if they'll let America in on the ground to destroy the rest of their facilities without creating more nuclear calamity... Do it without notice or any kind of warning.

Best idea I've heard yet.
