Iran is preparing to 'respond' to Israel, says adviser to Supreme Leader

Breaking News:

Iran is preparing to "respond" to Israel, Ali Larijani, a senior adviser to the country's supreme leader, said in an interview published by Iran's Tasnim news agency on Sunday.

Just to comment on the potential attack by Iran on Israel.
From what I have read, Israel's attack on Iran and hitting one of their nuclear facilities set Iran's nuclear missile readiness back, at least for the time being.
I've been listening to some military analysts commenting on modern war tactics, and they believe that we will see more use of "swarm drones", explaining that while a few drones may not cause significant damage, using swarms of drones is a different story. They pointed out how the use of drones has become common in warfare as seen with the Russia/Ukraine war.
What can be dramatically impacting in warfare is the use of swarm drones with small nuclear warheads attached to those drones and cause major damage and not have to use conventional nuclear missiles.
Iran has been manufacturing drones and supplying Hezbollah with them to attack Israel. If Iran has some nuclear capability it can be combined with drones and not need to launch nuclear missiles.
I imagine Israel's military has their own drones since they are very much advanced in technology when it comes to warfare.
I just saw an article yesterday about the US DOD focusing on increasing the productivity of drones to use in warfare because the US is behind on sufficient stockpile in drones.
From the article it looks like drones are going to be the weapon of choice because it's less costly to make in mass production and can be made small enough to fit in a backpack, and nuclear warheads can be attached to the drones.

Here's that article:

US scrambles as drones shape the landscape of war: 'the future is here'

I doubt Iran has the capability to deliver any sort of small nuke. However, doing so would end in a massive nuclear response from Israel.

Drones can be deadly but so can Israel.

Iran will likely keep up the public posturing for now, biding time, knowing Trump may offer a deal in ending the conflict.

Because of Bible prophecy Iran won't do anything that would be destructive to Israel. The Iranian regime is prideful and "acts" tough but isn't going to win because"God" has His shield around His people.

Well This ought to wake up Iran! 👇

Israel's Mossad chief calls for direct Iran strike after missile hits Tel Aviv

Mossad Director David Barnea has recommended Israel launch direct strikes against Iran in response to a Houthi missile attack that hit Tel Aviv, senior security sources told Channel 13 on December 22.

Yemeni ballistic missile strike that penetrated Israeli air defences and exploded in central Tel Aviv, injuring 16 people including a three-year-old girl.

'We need to target the head; striking only the Houthis won't be enough,' Barnea said during the meetings, according to the sources, suggesting that Iran, as the primary backer of Yemen's Houthi militia, should face direct consequences.

Looks like Netanyahu isn't hurried in attacking Iran, Yet

Netanyahu likely to choose IDF intel over Mossad on Houthis, delays direct strike on Iran

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will likely prefer what appears to be an IDF intelligence recommendation to respond to the latest Houthi ballistic missile attack with a direct counterattack against the group over what Mossad chief David Barnea supposedly recommended – a direct attack against Iran.

Netanyahu appears to favor the military intelligence approach because he wants to hold out for potentially attacking Iran at some later date – likely not until after Trump has taken office.

Barnea has been among the country’s leading hawks on Iran throughout his term and has tended to advocate hitting Tehran more often and harder, whereas IDF intelligence has tended to be more conservative about direct attacks on the Islamic Republic in light of the potentially grave consequences.

U.S. intelligence estimates that Iran is preparing to carry out a 'significant attack' against Israel before the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump

On the one hand, Iran's Supreme Leader has repeatedly stressed the need to retaliate for the Israeli attack on Iranian territory which killed 4 air defense personnel back in October. In addition to this, the Iranian leadership reportedly considers the risk of another Israeli attack to be 'high', especially after the ceasefire in Lebanon. Israel has openly said it will take the battle to Iran.

According to one high-ranking U.S. official, Iran is 'probably willing to take preemptive measures', both in order to carry out its promised retaliation and to preempt any possible upcoming Israeli attack.

The Iranian military leadership and political echelon, according to the U.S. official, has now concluded that only a more aggressive and proactive posture will sufficiently deter Israel, and is willing to carry out a large scale attack 'even if it leads to war'.

Funny that this would come up after thinking today that Iran had been awfully quiet.
